Question about Wacom (PTZ930AC) Graphic Tablet

Pen dragging and skipping around the point where I press

I've had my tablet for more than a year now. It's a Wacom one, no idea what 'model' of it. I'm starting to have problems where if I press down (say, when drawing) the cursor will jerk away from the point I am pressing on and draw lines to parts I just drew. It's getting worse and it's really irritating! Sorry I couldn't describe it too well, and sorry if this was already asked somewhere.

I'll be drawing in any art program and it always does the same thing, I'll start drawing and it'll start going off on it's own, I'll be drawing a straight line but when I look on the screen the line is arched and sometimes if I draw a line quickly instead of it drawing an arch like a want it it will just make straight diagonal line from where I wanted the arch to start to where I wanted it to finish.

Also, my tablet is still working, even though it's not up to par, yet, my blue light in the corner has been out for a while now, any ideas??

Is the surface of the tablet still smooth? i've found that my intuos 3 tablet is de-laminating in spots and wherever that has happened the table is no longer reponsive.

I have this problem as well - my Intuos2 is about 5 years old.
I have a vertical band all the way down the tablet, about 50 pixels wide, that is non-functional – the pen skips over the area – a real problem for drawing or grabbing files. any heard of this, and is it repairable????

Sometimes the grip pen get stucked because of dust or dirt, or the tip needs to be replaced. Clean the tip chamber or use a new one.

I have a Wacom Bamboo Craft Tablet, and it was working just fine a few days ago, and today when i hooked to it my computer, the nib part isn't working. The eraser part is just fine. I replaced the nib and...

Since the tablet is receiving the eraser it is more likely that the pen itself is damaged. This is good news because the tablet is much more expensive to replace than a pen. You can buy replacement pens for the Wacom Bamboo tablet directly from Wacom. I will include the link but if you do not feel safe clicking it you can go to Wacoms site, click Products > Buy Now > Bamboo, you will find some pens available for about $30.

Here is the link:$FE$15$1

Hanvon Tablet works incorect

as with most HID hardware (human interface device) there are settings. Most of the time, the settings allow you to customize what function does what in an application. You may need to read the documentation for your tablet PC to determine how to set an application profile for photoshop CS3 / 4.

This is what i had to do to get my wacom tablet to function correctly in photoshop..

Or, if your stylus has a set of buttons on it, try pressing one when dragging to see if that's the issue. if so, i'm sure it can be changed to fit your needs.

Wacom tablet won't recognize pen

Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.

take a tool to remove the tip of the pen. just blow inside the pen, put the tip back and press it in back but not too hard. works like magic!

Wacom tablet stopped working, blue light on.

Hey I had this problem too with my Bamboo too, I'm not sure if it was anything I changed or whatever but either way the blue light was on but it wasn't registering the pen.

I found a way just minutes ago to fix it however!

Go into 'start', 'all programs', then look for 'pen tablet'. Hopefully you should have this. If not then download the latest driver for your tablet from the wacom website and that should install it.

Next choose 'pen tablet preference file utilty'. Then under 'my preferences' choose to remove. Bingo! All was well in the world again.

This worked for me so hopefully it will for some of you guys too! Good luck!
