Try cleaning it out using a can of compressed air. Too much dust inside will cause instant overheating. If it still doesn't go back on, your on/off switch is faulty.

I opened to console fixed the bar.. now no green light?

mate take the cover off again and plug in the cord, then try to push the micro button with a pencil and hold for a few seconds, if it still does not turn on you have to take it to someone who can test the micro switch, if it turns on you did not fit the cover on properly the first time try to fit it again or check that the pin in the back on/off switch is not broken off.
Although this is low voltage please be careful to avoid electrical shock or damage to the circuit

sounds like your unit needs some TLC, i would take it to a mom and pop video game store, they can usually clean the unit and repair for cheap.

Faulty button, fuse. Try a new power cable, if that doesnt work then it will need a new on/off switch.
