I have a HP Photosmart D5069 Printer and the print light is flashing green? What does this mean?

Well...HP models that have network capability have an "N" at the end of the model number. often those that have built-in wireless have a "W" somewhere as well.

Yours does not....so you cannot print DIRECTLY to the printer via Wireless LAN. You CAN however, connect it via a USB cable to a PC that is on your Network, (you must have wireless access to this network already for this to work, if not, then you have a whole different problem that is another question=How do I add "wireless" to my Local Area Network-LAN.)

Once the printer is properly installed, then you need to SHARE it to others on your Network. How this is done varies with what operating system you have...you did not tell us.

The red indicator light either means you are out of paper or there is an issue with one of the ink cartridges. Check to insure the the cratridges are installed correctly and that you have paper and hit the cancel buttn. This should stop the red light from flashing.

This is most likely a problem with your ink cartridges. If they are old cartridges, replace them. You can also check for these problems.

-Open cover on printer
-Tray is out of paper
-Paper Jam
-Print cartridge is jammed or stuck
-Print cartridge is missing or incorrectly installed
-Tape in new cartridge has not been removed
-Packing materials are left inside the printer

Finally, turn off the printer, unplug it, wait 20 seconds, plug it in, and start it up. This may also clear any errors.

i had the wrong printer as the default all you have to do was select the correct printer....

Hi casual, I would suggest you update your printer drivers, try this, it should help:

Create a new folder on your desktop and name it newhpdrivers(substitute your manufacturer in new name). Un-intall printer and printer software completely. Go to manufacturers website and navigate to their drivers/downloads or support menu. Select your model, choose the relevant software and download to the new folder you created on your desktop(watch for the light yellow bar at the top of window viewing pane, click on this and choose – download file - . Power down your computer. Reconnect the printer to the computer and turn printer on. Power on pc. Windows will detect new hardware and ask if you have the manufacturers install cd or a location to check for install files. Direct the wizard to your new software, follow the rest of the setup instructions and your done.

The printer just started spitting out blanks and the camera says printing canceled. A red light on the printer flashes once. I have changed cartidges and unplugged it.
