Beeping after replacing battery

I have a viper 5701. The battery for it recently died so I replaced with a new battery. Now every time I unlock, lock or start up my car using the remote, the F button is beeping multiple times and the sound when a button is pressed is very low. Any solution to this?

Take it back to the company that installed the alarm system, sounds like something is not matched up right in the stystem, probably having to do with the match codes between the key fob and the system.

SOURCE: got a new remote for my viper 791XZ and reprogrammed it .

this usually means that the remote did not recieve a signal back from the module or the module did not recieve the remote signal
have you tried repeatively to press the unlock button? does the remote starter work or aux( trunk ) ?
also when putting the battery in the remote , be easy because there is a connector plug soldered on the board real close to where the battery is , and if it is hit by the battery hard enough it will cause those solder connections to disconnect and you will get the beeps and or other malfunctions

read the owners guide look at page 11 remote control programing you have to follow the instructions after your in the programing mode go to page 12 look at the unlock symbol and finish the programing

Change the battery, 2-way remotes require 2 slim batteries on top of one another. Regular remotes only require 1.

My battery ran low and I jump started my car which some how caused the problem. My viper technician made me a buy new remote but the problem continued even with the new remote.
Try disconnecting the battery of your car for ten minutes and then reconnecting it. It worked for me. Now i have a extra remote which i don't need.

sounds like the remots have lost two way communication. try to disconnect the windsheild antenna.try remotes again after pluging antenna back in.

Basic viper system key fob will not unlock truck or lock it. Yes, battery replaced in key still will not unlock vehicle to drive!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!!

Take the romote and car to the dealer to reprogram.

Hi I have a viper 5701 it was working fine for about 2 years and today the car just stop beeping when I lock or unlock the car please help

Was this "beep" from the horn or a siren? The unit could be in valet. Look at the LED on the antenna. Is it on solid? If so the system is in valet. To remove valet, turn ignition on then off, press and release programming button on antenna.
If the LED is not on and, the "beep" came from the siren then, there is an issue with siren itself.

Viper 5701 not remote starting or unlocking

It's possible that you may have inadvertently locked the remote. Press "F" then unlock to unlock the remote. Then attempt to send your command.

The seven flashes from your parking lights is the remote starter error diagnostic. Seven flashes is the message for neutral safety wire. The toggle switch under the dash is in the off position or, if the small, thin black with white wire is not connected to ground.

No this alarm does not do that. You can set it up for passive arming where 60 seconds after the last door is closed the alarm will turn itself on.

How to program viper 5701 remote

Unlock doors
Push and hold f button for 8-10 seconds until amber light is on solid
Push Remote start button for about 4 seconds till amber light flashes 3 times
Put key in to IGN position
Push valet (black button) one time and release
Push and hold valet button
Push either lock or unlock on viper remote
Key out of IGN
Test unit
The horn or siren may sound afterwards to indicate SUCCESS!!!!!!

The alarm doesn't chirp and no flash of my headlights anymore. Also the blue light stays on the little receiver/antenna on the windshield wheather it is locked or not. What is the problem?

sounds like the alarm went into valet mode. that's usually what a solid blue light means on most viper alarms. check your owners manual on how to take the alarm out of valet mode. with the 5701 alarm its usually done with the remote. hope this helps
