Question about LG RU-44SZ51D 44" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Yesterday i hear a pop and the 2 front light are red now no pictures has any repaired this issue before
I found a bulb for my LG for ~ $150 on ebay, easy to fix yourself, just remove the panel on the right side of the TV, unscrew and pull out the little bulb case, remove a few more screws and pop in the new bulb. You just have to be real careful to not actually touch the bulb, as oil from your fingers can damage it once it heats up. Latex gloves work well.

Lamp burned out...take front cover off of TV should just pop off...behind that is two removeable panels...on my PT-50LC13 the one on the left has one screw to remove the panel and one screw holding the lamp housing ....loosen the screw and pull the housing straight out...now here is the tough part...reach in your wallet and pull out about $255 to get a new one...I ordered off of the internet...local shops want around $300
