When I plugged my power supply into my wall, the little bulb was red. I bought a new power supply and cord but the light is still red. My Xbox360 doesn't turn on!

My e machine computer will just shut off after 5 or 10 min.,

I had an Emachines W3609 that did the same thing, I changed the 350-watt power supply with a 550-watt and it still shut off, even using the newer one. I thought just the first one was bad but I guess not. It had more than enough power to power it up but nothing. And it used to randomly restart at times and then just shut off. Try and get a new hard drive maybe that will help. Good luck!

I bought my g-dec jr form ebay last summer and really like this little amp but this past winter I went to use it, it worked for 3 to 5 min and shut down, but the power light just blinked moderately. I...

This amp uses a TDA2050 chip that has thermal protection. It is also a small amp that is NOT capable of high sound levels. If *********** can't stand to be within 5 feet of this amp you are playing TOO LOUD for this amp and it will shut down until cooled off to protect the amplifier chip. This amp is intended for practice. It would be adequate for sensible listening level in a 10 foot by 10 foot room. If you need more sound you will have to get a bigger amp. I would suggest you get a sound meter and verify the sound level. DO NOT exceed 4 hours at 90 DB... I know a lot of deaf musicians that have lost their hearing and they are not much good anymore.

My computer shuts down after a few minutes

2 possible issues come to mind: 1) the computer is getting hot (CPU, memory or video card), 2) the power supply can't keep up with the demand.

Try using a program that lets your track your computer's internal temperature. System Information for Windows, , is the one I use. Depending on the cause, you may need to increase the ventilation of your case (add fans - slot cooler by the video card, front, back or side panel.). If the CPU is getting hot, make sure that the CPU cooler is working and consider removing it and reapplying a new layer of thermal paste before reattaching the cooler.

If the problem is the power supply, check the specs on your devices (memory, CPU, video card) and the power supply load rating. You may need to upgrade the power supply.

I hope this helps.

Cindy Wells
(I am not a gamer but the default power supply that came with my computer didn't have enough power for the added memory and video card. I replaced that and added a back fan (spot available), a slot cooler, a drive bay fan and cut a hole to add a side panel fan.)

It will work for an hour than shuts off then i turn it back on in it shuts off in 4 min and it will repeat i also tryed putting a fan on it that did not work

power supply is developing sustain issues and will eventually shut down completely. get it serviced now before it becomes a real issue and too expensive to repair. The way it is now the repair cost should be acceptable.......

Car died rotton egg smell

Not sure if engine coolant smells like rotten egs when it burns inside the cylinders , but it sounds like you may have blown a head gasket. Coolant and/or oil could be getting inside combustion chamber. Another possibility is that the catyletic converter might have broken up and colapsed onto the screen where it goes into the exhaust. Might give the rotten egg smell and block the exhaust enough to cause backpressure sufficient to cause the engine to run poorly too.
Try putting your palm over the exhaust pipe , if the exhaust is coming out in pulses (pop ,pop, pop) thats normal , if it is just slowly flowing out with no noticable pulses , I would check into the cat converter problem.

Not powering on

In all actuality, it shouldn't make a difference. But there are select cords out there that may have a short or deliver the wrong voltage. That is why in the Sony warranty it says that the warranty is void if you use a cable thatisn't approved by Sony for use with the PS3.

So does the red standby light come on when you power on the toggle switch in the back?? If not then it is the power supply. You will need a new power supply installed.
If it does the old Green/Yellow/flashing Red when you push the front power button, the you have some motherboard problems and need to call Sony or sell it and get a new one, or find the problem and fix it.
Hope this helps. Good luck and happy gaming!!
