GO TO START PROGRAMS AND CLICK ON CONTROL PANEL. WHEN IT COMES UP CLICK ON THE ICON THAT SAYS ADMINISTRATORS. IF YOU WERE ON AS AN ADMINISTRATOR TOO, THEN YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR PW OR ADD SOMEONE ELSE TOO. BUT IF YOU WERE NOT THE ORIGNAL ADMINISTRATOR THEN YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT PERSON DO IT AND ADD YOU ON. GOOD LUCK!

Want to delete old account and make knew one

Hi carolgard276...

Left click on "Start">left click on "Control Panel">left click on "User Accounts">left click on "Change an Account".

You probably already know that only computer adminitrators can delete user accounts. But even if you are a computer administrator, you can't delete your own acount. You'll need to ask someone else with a computer administrator account to do this for you.
If there are no other computer admistrator accounts on your computer, you must first change someone else's account type to "computer administrator", and then ask that person to delet your account.
This ensures that there is always at least one person with a computer admimistrator account who can manage all user accounts and make system-wide changes to the computer.

My laptop ask me primary or administrator password what shall i do to opperate my laptop?

Your laptop is password protected: in order to use it, you need to know a valid userid and passord.
- Primary password: your assigned userid and password (which could just be blank - press enter after entering userid)
- Administration password: enter admistrator userid (such as as administrator or Admin) and the assisgned password (whih could be admin) - Admistrator can override a user locked laptop.
Turning the power off to the laptop will reset the laptop to 'normal' usage but may still require a userid and password.
Hope it helps.

The administrator block the internet connection.. How to enable this connection? i cant change some of the settings and it always says "you dont have enough priveledge to change them. please contact your...

If you bought the computer as used then you definately need to do a system restore to put it in factory setting. Restart and hold down the F11 function key till you hear a beep. Then select system/factory restore and don't forget to backup your documents.

That does fix all your problem as you will become the sole administrator to make and change settings.

I changed the password on my Dell Inspiron 600m the other night and now I can't remember what I changed it to and now I'm locked out of my computer! Please can someone please . . . . help me?

Do you mean the password to log into Windows XP?

If so, right after you turn on the Laptop, start tapping the F8 key until you get a menu screen on a black background.

With the keyboard arrow keys, select Safe Mode and click Enter.

On the Windows Welcome Screen you should see your Windows account and a new Administrator account. Hopefully, no one set up a password on the built-in Administrator account. Click the Administrator account and click to log in with no (blank) password.

Windows will tell you that you are working in Safe Mode and click yes on that box (The screen will look considerably larger and your background will not show as Windows uses default video drivers in safe mode). Click start and go to Control Panel. On the left hand side click Classic View and then Double Click on the User Accounts Icon.

Click your account from the User Accounts window that opens and choose Change My Password or Remove My Passowd. After you have removed or changed your password, close all the Windows and Restart your computer normally. When you get to the Windows Welcome Screen, the Administrator account should not be listed anymore and you can select your account and log in with the New Password you created, or log in with a blank password if you chose to Remove My Password.
