Samsung i600 blackjack

Hi - I have exactly the same problem on a i607 that I just purchased from NewEgg and apparently packed by PDA Giant. 

The adapter shipped with my Blackjack is a Samsung "Travel Adapter" part number: ATADM10JBE

which appears to be for blackjack  www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=206563611&listingid=28744535

What have you found out?

have you tried your usb cable into same brand of your fone?

try doing a factory reset. also look into re-loading the operating system (no joke).. there is an update to the OS which you can download and install. I even heard you can get a free upgrade to WM6, but i havent personally done it.

i did the windows mobile 5 update a while back and it re-loaded the whole OS just make sure to backup contacts ect BEFORE you do it as contacts are stored onto the phone- you can also copy to your SIM although i reccomend just syncing it to your PC

*do be careful with future SYNC ing as it can overwrite your contacts and notes

Do a hard reset
1. Turn off the phone
2. Press and hold the 4 keys:
0 + 4 + arrow up + Power button
until a format prompt is displayed
3. Press 1 and Y
The phone restarts.
This should solve the problem.

I do it on my i600 like this:
Start -> Settings -> Sounds -> Other Sounds -> New email:  scroll leftwards until you get to "None" and then click "Done".

First thing u need to learn that u can speed dial feature only for buttons from 2-9. So u need to first assign the no to one of the nos between 2 and 9 on the keypad, and then u can use ur speed dial feature...!!! Hope to recieve a good rating from u...!!!

Just had a look through the i600 manual and this is how you save a speed dial:

1. On the Home screen, press the Contacts soft key. You
can also press the Start soft key and select Contacts.
2. Select a contact from the list.
3. Scroll to a number, e-mail address, or web page
address.
4. Press the Menu soft key and select Add to Speed Dial.
5. If necessary, enter the name you want.
6. In the Keypad assignment field, select a location.
7. Press the Done soft key

you might try going to microsofts website and serching for upgrades for your phone. If the upgrades are available then download them to your desktop and hook your phone up via usb cable and the transfer the information from your computer to your phone. hope this helps
