Question about Philips 26PF9946 26 in. LCD Television
About 1/3 of the LCD, right side is filled with vertical lines after 15 to 30 minutes.
It looks like the pixels are longer and longer, starting from the top off the screen, until the color from the first top line is expanding to the bottom, making just colored lines on 1/3 of the screen.
Let it cool down and its working again for 15 minutes
There are 3 main circuit board in that lcd tv :
- tuner / analog board
- Backlight drivers
- digital driver for lcd itself
None of those board are sensitive to cooling with a freezing spray.
I do suppose the lcd itself have a defect, shortly after warranty of course which is very bad news.
And it looks that i'm not the only one
Did someone had this problem solved ?
The Philips service folks in India told me its a panel issue and panel needs replacement . They advised me to go for a new TV instead.
If you guys learn anything new ... do let me know ... Viva
