I have recently bought a lg rear projection tv on stand it has just started to show signs of double writing with red and green colour is that the sign of the lamp going or could you let me no of something without a booklet we have no idea we bought it second hand thankyou

Ur tv have a convergence problems,it dead.The 2 STK convergence ICS are defective,must be change and it supporting resistors.The shop will fix it for u for $300-350 for parts and labors.

Thats easiallt repaired by installing the repair kit called. The ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option misssing repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit also contains instructions on CD.

Hello, With most rear projections there is usually an alignment to do with the set up with your TV. This is so the red, blue and green projectors align together to give the correct colouring. This sounds to me what may be causing the outlining of the blue. This can also make it seem off colour. Look in the set up menu of the tv and see if you can find this alignment feature. Usually a cross will appear and you move a blue, red, and green cross with the arrows on your remote to align over the original white one. If this does not work, it may also mean that one of your projectors, that is the red, blue or green one may be failing causing the off colouring. Hopefully this alignment may fix it for you.

3D effect caused by failing convergence chips on the internal control board. You will need professional intervention to repair or replace this board or the chips. Often this is in association with other parts that need attention and is not a DIY.

Okay that means the other GUNS went out when i refer to guns I mean the other blue and red, they need to be replaced pretty costly but if you value that TV I'd do it.

Replace the stk convergence ics and also the 3.9 0hm fusible resistors.

Your tv has a convergence board problem. Have a technician replace the convergence IC's.

Call a technician, sounds like an Integrated Circuit problem and would cost you about $250.

I would guess that your problem is similiar to mine but mine is with the color red. The CRT went out which is a 400 dollar part and who knows how hard to fix.
