Use Windows Media Player - it will either work or it won't

I bought a mp3 player but when i rip songs from a cd and transfer to the mp3 player, an error msg comes up saying file format is wrong, what do i do to fix this?

Download a Music File converter. Try X to MP3 in google search. this will convert all your songs to MP3's. As for CD ripping, it might not work because usually CD's are copyrighted and music ripped from it wont work on anything BUT the CD and what plays the CD.

Zen mp3 player 4gb won't work just got it yesterday

I would suggest you take it back and get another brand. I bought 2 of those and they both kept on having the same problem. I do not that the Creative Zen is good product.

I cant get music

Music - the newer Philips players do not support DRM-protected files. You will have to use songs that are in Mp3 format, or songs that are non-protected WMA's (NOTE: non-protected WMA's generally are only converted from CD's you own. I don't know of any music services that use them).

Video - the installation CD should have come with a program called the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter. If you have lost your installation CD, you can acquire this program from the Philips website. The program must be used to convert and transfer videos to your Philips.

Playing music after I synch it from my library in media player

The songs are probably not in the right format. See manual/product specs for details on that. Mp3 players are more complicated than ever. This player accepts DRM-encrypted WMA files. I would first check the songs that you have downloaded to make sure they did not have "temporary" licenses with a fixed end date. You can do this by right clicking on an individual song, clicking on properties, and selecting the "license," "digital rights mgmt" or "media usage rights" tab - the wording varies by configuration. It will give you info on the license. If the song does not have transfer rights, you will not be able to transfer those songs - a different music service may be more helpful. If the song says that it has no license, it may not work with this player. One remedy is to use mp3 converter software to convert all of those wma files to Mp3's - I don't know of any free ones, but you can certainly look for free Mp3 Converters.
