Your media is questionable (is it bootable and clean?), also check it to boot on other computer.

SOURCE: Dual Boot XP 32 and XP 64 on different PHYSICAL drives on same PC

So you want to merge those to make it as dual boot system on one harddrive, right? Try these steps:

1. Go to start, control panel
2. Performance and Maintenance
3. Administrative Tools
4. Computer Management -> expand storage, click Disk Management
5. Right Click the drive containing XP32 that you want to use, click format... Choose NTFS then make it as Extended Partition.
6. Reboot your computer and try to see by Pressing F8 if there's an option of what operating system you are going to use.

*Drop me a comment if that works or not so I can assist you further.

SOURCE: 32 bit program to 64 bit opperating system

From the Autocad webiste:
System Requirements AutoCAD® Civil and AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2009 Recommended System Requirements Recommended configuration (excluding server components used with project management capabilities):

  • Intel® Pentium® 4 (3 GHz or higher); AMD Athlon™; multiple processors supported, dual-core supported
  • 32-bit only: Microsoft® Windows Vista® Ultimate/Business/Enterprise, Microsoft® Windows XP (SP2)
Note: Windows XP 64 and Windows Vista 64 are supported in 32-bit compatibility mode only.

Here's how you should be able to run it in compatibility mode:
1. Right click on the Autocad Icon in your start menu
2. click on Properties
3. click on the Compatibility tab at the top
4. check the box next to Compatibility Mode and select Vista 32 bit if it is given as an option.

I don't have Vista here, but that is how it works in XP and I did do a search and it appears to be the same in Vista.

Can't boot from CD

Make sure you have a bootable windows 7 dvd. You most likely have just the upgrade version or (a poorly pirated one.) Try installing the 64 version from the windows and see how it goes from there

Do you have the correct version of Windows 7? You cannot load a 64 bit onto a 32 bit system, you cannot load Ultimate onto Home.

Do you still boot to the original op sys, what was it?

for your MS OFFICE plus 2010 brows the cd and to determine if your office is a 32 bit or 64 bit

I want to install win7premium32-bit to my pc

It requires at least 2 gb ram and c2 duo or higher. Be sure you have that min with your pc. next you need windows cd. insert it int drive and press F3 or any key to boot with cd. It's then very simple just do as pc says. In format using type choose NTFS next just proceed as directed and you are done.

Can i convert a 32 bit to a 64 bit

You can use the Upgrade option during Windows 7 installation, which preserves your files, settings, and programs, only if you're currently running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista and you want to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only perform an upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. For more information, go to Upgrading to Windows 7: frequently asked questions on the Windows website.
If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍.
gl_ico.png Notes
  • To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files.
  • If you start your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files, but your computer isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files instead.
  • Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer files from a 64-bit version of Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. If you're running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista but you plan to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can move your files to an external location manually or use Backup and Restore in Windows Vista. For more information, go to Back up your files and

I'm trying to upgrade from 64-bit Vista to 64 bit Windows 7. When I run the installation disk, I'm getting the following error message, which appears to be contradictory in my opinion:...

I have seen this type of problem before, the only real way around it is to install a fresh copy of windows 7 not to upgrade, you will receive a message that asks you if you want to keep the previous windows in a folder called old windows, from there you will be able to access all your old files and programs, be aware though some programs may not work on windows 7, and you may need to have updated drivers for the systems peripherals. So when you run the windows 7 disk choose clean install and go from there. i hope this helps
