The switch is in the garage. There are two 60 watt bulbs in this circuit. There are two garage door openers in the garage. There is a rf light on the outside of the garage. There are two cars in the garage with automatic locking dorrs. Hope this helps. The switch is in the garage. There are two 60 watt bulbs in this circuit. What exactly do you have connected to the remote switch? We don't care about other things in the same room unless they are connected to the switch. This switch is rated for 300W so two bulbs shouldn't present a problem. If that's all you have connected and you can't turn them all the way off, I suggest you return the switch since the internal relay must not be completely opening. What exactly do you have connected to the remote switch? If switch is electric, it might not be rated for type of bulb.
Check rating label for switch... try incandescent bulb.
Otherwise there might be short circuit causing bleed-over of power going to light bulb. http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-household-electricity.html

first go for the easy stuff. do the tail lights come on? if so, then will almost guarantee it's bad bulbs in headlights. if tail lights do not come on I would check fuses first relay second. switch third.
Even after bulb change, do all lamps work? Bad ground can be shown by weak or dim bulb sometimes and this can cause fast flashing. All bulbs which flash must be working and of normal brightness which is sometimes hard to tell when they blink really fast.
Check the front and rear turn signals on the left. If both are just as bright as the right turn signals, then the dim bulb is isolated just to the dash. Possibly someone replaced the bulb at one time with the wrong rated bulb. A steady dim bulb doesn't sound like a loose ground. It would probably be going in and out or flickering, and just that one side would not have a separate ground. High resistance in a wire (like broken strands)or a connection could cut the current and cause a dim bulb. If the whole left side is dim, both the dash and the signaling bulbs, start looking for high resistance in that side of the circuit. To thoroughly check it out, probably need a volt meter
Check the ground for the backup light-I'll bet it shares a ground with the interior lights. When you put it in reverse,it is feeding 12v to one side of the bulb, and instead of going through the bulb to a ground,it is seeking a ground elsewhere(through the interior light). The lights are dim because it has created a series circuit,so the bulbs are running at a lower voltage.
you may need 2 light bulbs. check real close, if they go out compltely or really dim.... if dim, you have a ground wire issue, if they go out completely the bulbs are bad.
Try removing one bulb or the other at one time preventing power completing the circuit if the problem in a light. Those ones are tuff to find but second place I would start is removing front door cils and cleaning out and playing with wires in there to see if you can find a problem, also wires in the boot between door and frame, usually drivers side cause it's used more often.
