I'm trying to use a fully-loaded recycled B+W cartridge and the printer blinks "out of ink" and won't work! Thx for your help!
If you refill the same cartridge that was in the printer
the printer would recognized the cartridge as being out off ink
you need to install another different black cartridge
the printer will identify this as a new cartridge
you then reinstall the previous cartridge back in
the printer will now recognized it as a new cartridge
For the most optimal output experience with your AIO, Lexmark
recommends that customers update their firmware. The firmware helps ensure that
customers receive the highest yields of ink available from the cartridges,
which offers the greatest value and means fewer necessary cartridge
replacements.
If you choose to upgrade firmware, note that unauthorized use of
third-party 'cloned' cartridges will no longer be possible.
When purchasing ink cartridges, Lexmark customers have two
options:
Regular ink cartridges without license terms (100A/100XLA) that
you may a) return to Lexmark free of charge (for recycling by Lexmark), b)
refill, recycle or remanufacture themselves, or c) provide to third parties for
refilling, recycling, or remanufacturing. Any Regular ink cartridge
can be refilled by a customer or a third party and will continue to work in
their Lexmark printer.
Return Program ink cartridges that provide customers with an up-front discount in exchange for their agreement to use the ink cartridge once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing and recycling.
Sometimes
the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even
when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:
1.
Unplug the printer from the power source.
2.
With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier
assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to
the center of the printer.
3.
Remove the used cartridges.
4.
Load the new cartridges. Close the cover.
5. Plug the printer back to the power source.
