Dashboard keeps telling me to turn on device

More than likely your hard drive just died. Bring it in to a pc fixit shop.

Just re-install the skype again but if the problem still occurs then i would suggest to use a system utility tool like Reginout to fix this problem. Sometimes this problem occurs due to corrupt registry files or due to missing dll files.

It happens periodically that our computer shuts down, restarts, hibernates or some other weird thing when we really don't want it to. I'm going to pass on to you a FREE and hard to believe program from Microsoft! I have no idea why this little program hasn't been advertised but then I don't own their stock.

Microsoft has numerous fixit utilities
Try the DVD one and the hardware devices are not detected ones

you can also run windows ones for various software issues, nice thing is they don't detect an issue on an item it doesn't hurt anything

Did you create an account with them? if so log in and even though you may now know your password put something in. It will tell u incorrect password ..etc should be something that says forgot password.

Please elaborate by what you mean. Is the software preventing the devices from accessing the host? Are the users unable to log on? Is the filter working but not logging data per user? Understand that even though you might have multiple devices connected to a host, they are all sharing a single IP at the application layer so many web filters track by user ID/IP Address. Thus you might have to use NComputing's virtual IP address utility. Contact them to get a copy of that at 888-365-121. It's free of charge.

Recommendation: If you can switch from the 3rd party wireless utility to the Windows utility. There should be a check box under the properties that says, "Let Windows manage my connection." Also turn off any power management that stops your drives, suspends the machine, etc. When doing WEP, use the actual key, not your password. i.e. the one that looks like "aaff996753bc" not "rosebud".

Reason: Windows wireless starts before you even log in and loads as a service, it runs whether your logged in or not, sleep mode, etc. 3rd party utilities...especially my personal bane of all wireless devices "Netgear" load as applications. That means they don't initialize until after log in and they can be suspended completely or prioritized by power management and resource management utilities when the machine is idle. As for the key thing... WEP translation with Linksys especially can be a little funny with some wireless so I use the key itself which always works.
