My DellAxim doesn't recognize my Ambicom WL54-CF

My DellAxim X5 doesn't recognize my Ambicom WL54-CF wifi card. I bought the card from ebay and they sent a cd with xp drivers but I don't know what to do with the cd! How do I get the drivers on the Axim and which active sync from Microsoft does it require? Thanks, Max

You can always download the latest version of ActiveSync from here:
https://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/activesync-download.mspx

Which should work fine for the Axim. As for the driver install, typically you run the install from your PC and it sets up ActiveSync to load the CAB files to install the drivers for your card.

All versions of activesync will handle this device providing it is powered by Microsoft Widows Mobile, Microsoft Windows CE, or a similar Microsoft Windows Powered OS. I am unaware of what your specific device utilizes; however I do know that all versions of ActiveSync will provide support to devices listed above.

The CD is most likely a support plug-in or a remote install for desktop to device software.

Please consult Dell's support and Drivers site for any additional information or pieces of software you may require. You should however, providing your desktop/laptop computer is using > Windows XP, be able to utilize limited access abilitys of your device (such as transfer of files) given Windows Mobile device recognition.

Please let us know if you require further information.
