I can not transfer photos from my camera to my computer.

When I plug in the cord nothing comes up to allow me to transfer any photographs I have taken onto the computer and in a folder. The wire gets very hot also, but this problem never occured when I first bought the digital camera. I do not have Genuine Windows, do you think this could be the problem? Or that pehaps the software just got delted. This problem also happened with my MP# player, but when I had someone go on and figure out the problem he told me that I needed to register it online, but I can not find out how to get the software.

You may have to change the chord (USB cable) you are using presently. When you connect your device windows notifies you that a new hardware have been found. If the driver is not installed, the system will request that you insert the disk that came with your device. As soon as you do this, the hardware wizard will take up from there.

If you don,t still succeed, open up my computer and right-click aon the device and click DELETE.

Then shutdown your system. Ataach your device again and boot the system and follow the reinstall instructions that follow.

Good Luck.

Since you do not have "Genuine Windows", I cannot comment on any software issues.
The part that really concerns me is "The wire gets very hot also".
USB is really low voltage. It sounds like you have a broken USB interface that is looping the current.

Your cord is getting hot most probably due to high voltage or a shot circuit in your device or cord....
Most of the USB device are not at all any problem. Your Software for your device may be corrupted of any file is missing.. Just reinstall the application and try once again if it still dont work i would recomend to formate your windows drive and then install it it will surly help u.
if you dont have a cd for the installation just downloade it from the company official website..

How do i access my photographs

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Then you can view them on the computer.
Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Panasonic Lumix TZ3 I have 6 photographs on the camera internal memory. I can only see these photos when the memory card is taken out. How do I transfer these to my computer please? If I put a memory...

Two options. One, leave the card out of the camera when you connect to the computer, then download the pictures. Two, use the camera's copy function to copy the pictures to the memory card, then download the pictures.

Photograph Transfer. Unable to transfer from VAIO

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Can I view photos on my iPod photo/"Color"? nano?

Depending on the model, to view photos on your iPod photo/"Color", you either need to import photographs using Apple's iPod Camera Connector, or transfer images from your computer through iTunes 4.7 or higher to the iPod. For the current iPod U2 Special Edition "Color", iPod "Color" (20.0 GB), the version of the iPod photo (60 GB) introduced on February 23, 2005 and renamed iPod "Color" (60 GB) on June 28, 2005, as well as the discontinued iPod photo (30 GB), the simplest way to transfer photos from many digital cameras to your iPod is to purchase and use Apple's iPod Camera Connector (US$29). This device simply allows you to directly connect a digital camera to the camera connector and in turn connect the camera connector to the iPod "dock" port. Photos imported using the iPod Camera Connector are immediately viewable, with the exception of RAW format images and video clips. However, photos imported using the iPod Camera Connector cannot be immediately viewed as a slideshow with transitions. On versions of the iPod photo (40 GB, 60 GB) released prior to February 23, 2005, photos transferred directly from a digital camera using an iPod-compatible media reader are not immediately viewable, but photos transferred through iTunes 4.7 or higher, which converts photos into a "thumbnail" format, can be viewed on the iPod photo itself or displayed using the iPod photo connected to a TV or projector. The iPod nano, introduced September 7, 2005, can display photographs on the internal display "loaded" from a computer, but as it lacks video out, it cannot display photographs on a television or projector. The iPod nano also does not support the iPod Camera Connector or third-party solutions, so photos cannot be transferred from a camera. For information regarding the iPod nano and accessory compatibility, please refer to Apple Support
