Mitsubishi WD-52327 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television Logo

When turning on the TV the green light on the front does not come on. You hear a click and then about ten seconds later you hear another click but the tv never comes on.

Rear projection TVs have a bulb that needs replacing every 4-8 years or so. This usually gives you some other indication though, like a blinking light or something of that nature. (but that's what this could be)
If it's not that, did you have a power out just recently?
If so, you could be in trouble.. The TV's video board could be fried. (worst case scenario)

This could be a fuze as well, but too hard to tell. That clicking you're hearing is most likely a video board being power up, and then shutting itself down.. You may want to call Mitsubishi for this one, but consult the owner's guide about bulb replacement first. If there is supposed to be an indicator light for this and there is not, call them.

I hope this helps a bit.

What light do you get, green blinking, red blinking, yellow steady light or yellow blinking light. The led lights will tell what is wrong with your tv.

When you turn on power you hear a click and the green light turns on. Three seconds later you hear another click and the green light turns off.

MOST OF THESE SETS HAVE A SELF DIAGNOSTIC:

UNPLUG TV AND THEN PLUG BACK IN---TURN ON---GREEN POWER LIGHT COMES ONFOR A MOMENT AND GOES OFF.

PRESS AND HOLD "device"(input) and"menu" buttons on front of tv for at least 5 seconds and then release bothtogether.

Watch for power light to blink in a sequence:

1 blink-then 2 blinks-------no error

2 blink-then 1 blink-------X-ray protection

2 blink-then 2 blink-------SHORT PROTECTION*******

2 blink-then 3 blink---------deflection circuit problem

2 blink-then 4 blink---------vertical circuit problem

******2, then 2 is most common---usually means one of the fuses that protectthe Convergence IC or IC's is blown---set will detect no voltage to convergenceIC and shut down.

SET WILL REPEAT BLINK ERROR CODE UP TO 5 TIMES ANDTHEN TO GET IT TO REPEAT MORE YOUHAVE TO UNPLUG SET AND TRY TO TURN ON AGAIN.

IF IT IS 2 AND THEN 2---USUALLY
CONVERGENCE CIRCUIT PROBLEM

let me know what you find--hope that you find 2 blinks, a pause and twoblinks--this is the most common and easiest to fix.

Let me know what you find and I will assist you.

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

After researching online, my TV problem seems pretty common. TV - Mitsubishi 1080 series WS 55511. Green blinking light blinks for 3 seconds, then goes out and TV never turns on, but I hear a slight...

The green light is known as "The blinking green light of death". This refers to the green LED on the front panel of the TV that normally blinks when turned on after a power failure or when unplugged: the green light is supposed to flash for about 1 minute while both microprocessors boot up: If it won't stop blinking it means that they aren't communicating w/each other. Unfortunately, it's common in Mitsubishi & other RP TV's. Getting this fixed by a professional is around $6-700 with labor, parts, etc. It's really not worth it in my opinion. I would go out and buy an LCD or an LED TV.

THEN THE LIGHT TURNED OFF. thEN I TURNED ON WITH THE REMOTE AND THE YELLOW LIGHT TURNED ON AND A FEW SECONDS LATER CHANGED TO THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE TV TURNED ON. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, BETWEEN 10 AND 30 IT DID THE SAME THING. NOW IT IS OFF WITH A BLINKING RED LIGHT PERMANENTLY ON. TO TURN IT OFF I HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE WALL.
