Question about Xerox WorkCentre M123 Copier
I'm getting a L6 code, and having a hard time finding anything on the web that might help me fix the problem. the only thing I've found is it has something to do with the polygon motor, whatever that is. can you help?
The L6 indicates the machine is not seeing the motor in the laser, that rotates the mirrors.
There are 3 possibilities, I will list them in order of probability.
1 The Laser unit itself.
2. The cable connection on the Main Board.
3. The Main Board itself.
The laser depending on the lens, Curved or straight is $323 and $393.
the main board will cost in the $250-$400 range depending on the vendor.
That is without labor.

I have a Xerox Workcentre 105f B&W copier.
this copier prints the right copy on the left handside and the right hanside on the left.
this problem happened since I sprayed compressed air to clean the black powder from the ink toner compartment in this copier.
no erros code signal.
any idea what is going on?

L6 on Xerox usually means an external device (like a coin unit) is disconnected, well it wouldn't be that! another L6 is the xerox plug in card supplied with toner/ drum units which maintain a count of copies done on that unit Not familiar with particular model as model numbers change in different parts of the world (I'm in Australia) your model may not have that feature...did it just happen, or did you change something?
