- I have a Southwestern Bell Corded Freedom Phone FM2560S.When I receive a call or make a call there is an annoying background hum. I tried using the phone in other parts of the house with other wall cords but the hum persists. My 2 other phones do not have this problem. I noticed that after I disconnected the phone for several days the hum left when reconnected, but was back again in the next couple days.
