on my asus mother board P5KPL-CM . ther only one IDE slot on mother bard for dvd and hard dive (the other is for floppy ) . cable the connect to bothe , how do i set the jumper .which one is master which is slave . I use dvd as master harddrive as slave ... and try to re-install operating system , it went as far but crash at some point says " you shut down the computer suddently please check your hard drive ...........) need help bad

you can keep master either hard disk or rom not both. there must be one slave and one master for one ide slot
