PIXMA MX330 Error message "Document in

Hello,
The sensor may be dirty even if it looks like there is no paper jam. Take a bottle of compressed air and give it a once over. Make sure you don't shake or tip the compressed air as you don't want to fast freeze anything.
If this does nothing, you probably have a failed sensor which will need replacing.

Trying to fax, scan or copy and anytime I try the erro message Document in ADF press OK to discharge document

Hi sdrnjen977,

Here's what you can do to address the issue and clear error message: Document in ADF.

If you press the Stop button during scanning, Document in ADF. Redo operation after checking document in ADF and pressing OK. appears on the LCD. Press OK button so that the remaining document is automatically fed out.

Removing the jammed document from the Document Tray:

1. If printing is in progress, press the Stop button.

2. Turn off the machine.

3. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any pages other than the jammed page from the ADF, then open the Document Feeder Cover.

4. Raise the Paper Release Lever, then remove the jammed page from under the roller to the Document Feeder Cver side.

5. Pull out the jammed document from the ADF.

6. Press down the Paper Release Lever, close the Document Feeder Cover, then turn on the machine.

Removing the jammed document from the inner side of the Document Cover:

1. If printing is in progress, press the Stop button.

2. Turn off the machine.

3. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any pages other than the jammed page from the ADF.

4. Open the Document Output Slot.

5.Open the Document Cover.

6. Insert your hand into the Document Output Slot, then while pushing up the paper output rollers inside the Document Output Slot with your fingers, pull out the document from the inner side of the Document Cover.

7.Close the Document Cover.

8. Close the Document Output Slot, then turn on the machine.

Cannot clear error message "Document

Hi nigel_lester,

This error message "Document in ADF" that you are getting means that you need to remove foreign object from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Kindly follow the procedure below in clearing document jams:

Document jams in the ADF (Document Tray)

1. First, press Stop/Reset.
2. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any documents other than the jammed page from the ADF. 3. Then, open the Feeder Cover.
4. From under the roller to the Feeder Cover side, remove the jammed page.
5. If a document is not jammed, check the document feed area if there's foreign material. If there's any, carefully remove it.
6. Close the Feeder Cover.

NOTE:
  • If documents remain in the ADF after pressing during scanning, [Document in ADF] will appear on the LCD. Press so that the remaining document is automatically fed out.
  • When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

Document jams in the ADF (inner side)

1. Press Stop/Reset.
2. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any documents other than the jammed page from the ADF, then open the Feeder Cover.

Create a New Document
There are several ways to create new documents, open existing documents, and save documents in Word:

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button officebutton.gif and Click New or
  • Press CTRL+N (Depress the CTRL key while pressing the "N") on the keyboard

You will notice that when you click on the Microsoft Office Button and Click New, you have many choices about the types of documents you can create. If you wish to start from a blank document, click Blank. If you wish to start from a template you can browse through your choices on the left, see the choices on center screen, and preview the selection on the right screen.

Opening an Existing Document

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button officebutton.gif and Click Open, or
  • Press CTRL+O (Depress the CTRL key while pressing the "O") on the keyboard, or
  • If you have recently used the document you can click the Microsoft Office Button and click the name of the document in the Recent Documents section of the window Insert picture of recent docs

Saving a Document

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button officebutton.gif and Click Save or Save As (remember, if you're sending the document to someone who does not have Office 2007, you will need to click the Office Button, click Save As, and ClickWord 97-2003 Document), or
  • Press CTRL+S (Depress the CTRL key while pressing the "S") on the keyboard, or
  • Click the File icon on the Quick Access Toolbar

Renaming Documents
To rename a Word document while using the program:

  • Click the Office Button officebutton.gif and find the file you want to rename.
  • Right-click the document name with the mouse and select Rename from the shortcut menu.
  • Type the new name for the file and press the ENTER key.

Working on Multiple Documents
Several documents can be opened simultaneously if you are typing or editing multiple documents at once. All open documents will be listed in the View Tab of the Ribbon when you click on Switch Windows. The current document has a checkmark beside the file name. Select another open document to view it.

Document Views
There are many ways to view a document in Word.

  • Print Layout: This is a view of the document as it would appear when printed. It includes all tables, text, graphics, and images.
  • Full Screen Reading: This is a full view length view of a document. Good for viewing two pages at a time.
  • Web Layout: This is a view of the document as it would appear in a web browser.
  • Outline: This is an outline form of the document in the form of bullets.
  • Draft: This view does not display pictures or layouts, just text.

To view a document in different forms, click the document views shortcuts at the bottom of the screen documentviewsshort.gif or:

  • Click the View Tab on the Ribbon
  • Click on the appropriate document view.

I have a Cannon Pixma MX320 all in one printer and I cant get it to stop saying document in ADF

Issue: ERROR LCD: DOCUMENT IN ADF
Solution: Remove foreign object from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) - MX310
Check the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for obstructions
Follow this procedure to check the ADF for obstructions. You do not need to turn off the power when clearing document jams.
Document jams in the ADF (Document Tray)
  1. Press <Stop/Reset>.

  2. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any documents other than the jammed page from the ADF, then open the Feeder Cover.

  3. Remove the jammed page from under the roller to the Feeder Cover side.

  4. Pull out the jammed document from the ADF. If the document cannot be easily pulled out, proceed to section Document jams in the ADF (inner side).

  5. After removing the jammed document or if a document is not jammed, check the document feed area to make sure there is no foreign material. If you find foreign material, carefully remove it.
  6. Close the Feeder Cover.

    Note : If documents remain in the ADF after pressing the Stop/Reset button during scanning, "DOCUMENT IN ADF" appears on the LCD. Press the OK button so that the remaining document is automatically fed out.

    When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

    Note: The document may not feed properly depending on the media type, or your environment, such as when the temperature and humidity are either too high or too low.
    In this case, reduce the number of document pages to approximately half of the loading capacity. Another alternative is to scan from the platen glass
    .

  • If documents remain in the ADF after pressing <Stop/Reset> during scanning, [Document in ADF] will appear on the LCD. Press <OK> so that the remaining document is automatically fed out.
  • When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

How do you scan?

Open the Applications folder on the hard disk on which MP Navigator is installed, then open the Canon Utilities folder and double-click the navicon.gif MP Navigator 3.0 icon. MP Navigator opens.
2. Point to Scan/Import and click 'Photos/Documents (Platen)'.

How to place the document and Document Type depends on the document to be scanned.

How to place the document
Allow 3/8 inches (1 cm) or more space between the edges of the platen glass and the document.
Align a corner of the document with the corner at the arrow of the platen.

  • When you select Color Photo or Black and White Photo, the position or size of the image may not be scanned correctly if you do not leave 3/8 inches (1 cm) or more space between the edges of the platen glass and the document.
  • When you select Color Photo or Black and White Photo, the position or size of the image may not be scanned correctly depending on the document. In such a case, select Document Size such as A4 or Letter according to the document to be scanned.
  • When you select Magazine(Color), the Descreen function will be enabled and scanning takes longer than usual. To reset the Descreen function, disable Descreen in the Scan Settings dialog box.

4. Click 'Specify'... and set the preferences as required.
The Scan Settings Dialog Box opens. Specify the Document Size and Scanning Resolution.

  • When Document Size is Auto Detect or Auto Detect(Multiple Documents), the position or size of the image may not be scanned correctly depending on the document. In such a case, select Document Size, such as A4 or Letter according to the document to be scanned.
5. Click 'Scan'.
Scanning will begin.
When the document has been scanned, the scanned image is displayed in the Thumbnail List area.

I have a Sitecom WL322 (300N Wireless ADSL modem ) router. I can connect unsecured Ok, but no connections successful yet with TKIP or AES encryption. Suggestions?

If the wireless not working with WPA TKIP or AES you can try enabling WEP aas the wireless security for your network and lets see if that will be working with that level of security....

How to scan picture to upload on computer

First, ensure you are connecting the scanner to your computer. I'm assuming USB connection, and that you're using an operating system supported by this device.

Next, install the drivers and software for this device. Those should have come with an installation disc, but if you don't have that disc, you can get them from the PIXMA MP830 support site, here:

To scan a single document, place the document:
1. Place the document face down on the platen glass.
2. Open the MP Navigator 2.2 software.
3. Click Scan Photo/Document.
4. Click Document Type drop-down arrow and select the type of document to be scanned. Chose from the following types.
  • Color Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of color documents.
  • Color Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of color documents.
  • B/W Document(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of monochrome documents.
  • B/W Document(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of monochrome documents.
  • Text(Simplex): Select this to scan one side of text documents.
  • Text(Duplex): Select this to scan both sides of text documents.
5. Click 'Specify' and set the preferences as required. Click here for detailed information

6. After making the setting changes, click 'Scan'

7. Click 'Save to PC' or 'Save as PDF file'. Save to PC is displayed when an image is captured with Scan Photo/Document or Batch Scanning


The directions for Batch Scanning, or using the ADF to scan, are shown below.
  1. Place the document(s) in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF).
    1. To scan using the ADF, remove any documents from the platen glass.
    2. Open the document tray.

  7. After all documents have been scanned, ensure the documents, in the preview area, are selected (have a check mark).

  8. Click 'Save to PC' or 'Save as PDF file'. Save to PC is displayed when an image is captured with Scan Photo/Document or Batch Scanning.

Buick LeSabre 1998. AC on, air flow not going through MID vents.

Sounds like your AC/Heater control unit is bad.the unit is the one you use to switch the air from defrost to vent etc.
