We recorded on a DVD-R disc (SONY DCR-108 brand new) and replayed what we recorded a few times and removed the disc without finalizing it. Now when we put it back into the camcorder it will not play or record. We get a flashing light that the DVD cannot be accessed, but there is no particular error message. This DVD has our trip to Ireland and we'd love to be able to salvage it. The DVD was never finalized and we are afraid to to anything else until advised. Any help recovering this DVD would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have about 13 min of recorded material on a Sony 30-min disk. When trying to record on the rremainder of the disk I get a warning message the disk cannot be accessed. The DVD was sitting on my dresser so I know the disk and the DVD have not been damaged or roughed up.
I placed a new Sony disk in the DVD and it will allow me to record on it. I return the "bad" disk and it cannot be accessed. How can the disk be damaged while it is in the DVD and the DVD is placed in a 70 degree room on a dresser?

My camcorder will not finalize. We just purchased ours. I took the disc out of the camera to record another (I couldn't find instructions on this) Now that I want to finalize it says "This function is currently not available". Help, my husband wants me to take it back. kohal@sbcglobal.net
