Question about Dryers
The dryer on/off will not stay on
My dryer this model does not get warm?

Sounds like the problem we have for ours - the relay has failed for the ON/OFF switch, so it will work as long as the button is held down. We have done a temporary fix using Gaffa tape (to hold the button down!), but will need to replace the relay at some point as the power does not switch off fully once the timer runs out.

--Bad motor run windings
--bad motor switch
These are two possibilities. How old is the dryer. may not be worth it. get the model# from the dryer & price a motor. (new motor cures both of these possibilities)

usually two belts one from drive motor and the other a big one to turn the drum. Take the back access panel off and loosen the tension on the motor for the first one ... for the drum belt you have to pop the top of the dryer open (use something like a paint stir stick and a hammer on each front top corner of the dryer to pop open the clips. nothing metal or you will chip the enamel paint)
