My dryer this model does not get warm?

Sounds like the problem we have for ours - the relay has failed for the ON/OFF switch, so it will work as long as the button is held down. We have done a temporary fix using Gaffa tape (to hold the button down!), but will need to replace the relay at some point as the power does not switch off fully once the timer runs out.

--Bad motor run windings
--bad motor switch
These are two possibilities. How old is the dryer. may not be worth it. get the model# from the dryer & price a motor. (new motor cures both of these possibilities)

SOURCE: i need to put a new drive belt on my hoover hdv6

usually two belts one from drive motor and the other a big one to turn the drum. Take the back access panel off and loosen the tension on the motor for the first one ... for the drum belt you have to pop the top of the dryer open (use something like a paint stir stick and a hammer on each front top corner of the dryer to pop open the clips. nothing metal or you will chip the enamel paint)

the tab is broken, try stuffing a folded piece of paper between the button and the body to stop it coming back up and be using the mains to switch it on/off.

Hoover hdv6 won't dry clothes. When switched on just makes a ticking over sound but drum won't turn. Filter care light comes on but thus has been emptied. Help.

Did you try unplugging and then waiting a minute or two then plugging it back in? If this didn't work try different drying cycles. Have you recently had a power outage while the dryer was turned on? If so when the power came back on it may have fried chips or boards for drying cycles. If all these were not present or did not work call a service tech recommended by Angie in your area

Hoover Tumble Dryer VHC 391t. Its starts and does a cycle stops to turn the other way and just stops. If you press the start button it just clicks.

The most common problem for this would be the motherboard of the system that's controlling the Hoover Tumble Dryer. You will have to either get it repaired by a professional or get a new dryer.

Hoover Tumble Dryer trips out

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. It seems to be the issue with the Thermal Fuse going bad and needs to be replaced. It is mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. Whenever this fuse goes bad it'll either trip the circuit breaker or the dryer wont heat. You can also check it for continuity with an ohm meter, no continuity means the fuse is bad and you need to replace it. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

I think you may have a bad relay on the motor, where power is re-applied after the push start is released
