Re: Toshiba Satelite Keyboard

Sounds like your contacts on your keyboard are dirty. Take some compressed air and blow it underneath your keyboard. Give it a good cleaning. See if that solves your problem.

My toshiba P25 satelite comes on and works fine except only 5 or 6 keys on the keyboard work

Keyboard's bad, in all likelihood. Best source for these things is eBay - you get a choice of new or used, just don't pay tourist prices for them ($15 delivered would be my max limit for these things). In nearly all Toshiba's, the plastic piece above the keyboard, which may extend to (and include) both hinge covers, has to come out for you to get at the keyboard. Shouldn't be too difficult....

Toshiba Satelite L515 - S4960 Keyboard, some keys not working, have tried System Restore unsucessfully (unsecified error ocurred) Please help

System restore won't do it. If it is only some keys not working and others are, unless you've added some shortcut keys it sounds more like a problem with the keyboard itself and would have to be replaced. Sometimes it maybe dust or grit that is under a key/s and the key isn't fully compressing and making contact. You can carefully blow it out lightly and check for hair- human or pet hair can also mess up the contact.

If you happened to spill something on the keyboard that would wreck the keyboard too....

The toshiba satelite L505d-s5965 cannot connect with the wireless

There are two things you have to first check on:
1) Check if the wifi turn on button is set to on or use the Fn keys on keyboard for that.
2) Check in the computer devices to see if the driver is installed, not conflicting and working well.

Keyboard with functions

normally this keys work with windows logo key, but in this case, I can decide it is virus problem, so you should update your virus guard and check your system. if it ll not work then you have to remove your Operating System & install new copy. (do not upgrade OS, create a fresh copy)

Hi,toshiba satelite pro L20 beeps when start up

Run check disk for hard drive errors. I recommend immediately backing up all your data that you can, wiping it, and reinstalling your programs. The rebooting problem smells like a bad hard drive. I just went through it with a Compaq at work.

Num Lock key must be off. I can't log in using my 4 digit code. How do I turn on the Num Lock key? It is not marked.

It is one of the function keys, it will have a keypad symbol on it.
On my Toshiba it is the F11 key.
Try the Fn key + F11 key to enable the numbers, press the combination of key again to turn off Num Lock
