I had this problem too its not the oil but the filter on top of it is a switch that has a plug connected to it what i found is that the seal on that switch wears out and then starts leaking thats when you get that warning all i did was to replace the switch and the sound was gone hope this helps

Get a mechanic to check that the engine is making oil p[ressure. The buzzer is a caution device which warns that there is an oil pressure problem. Beware. Some people will get around this problem by removing the buzzer or disconnecting it. The engine will seize if it hasn't got good oil pressure and you will be spending all of your savings trying to repair it...

Not sure what model your car is,but try checking the two oil sender units, one located onthe side of the cylinder head[gearbox side]and the other on the oil filter housing. Also have a mechanic check oil pressure, should be+-2bar pressure at idle.If everything checks out, including the wiring, try another instrument cluster..Good luck

SOURCE: buzzing problem from my citi golf chico dashboard

the buzzing is most likely the speedo cable ive had a few older cars that do this you might try having someone oil the cable if they can or you can as for the oil light it might be low oil pressure or a bad oil level sensor or even a dirty plug on the sensor

There's a "buzzing" sound whenever I open my driver door (on my 2008 vw golf city) for the first time. Is this normal??

Yes, it's just the car anticipating it might be started . The system primes the fuel system before you turn the key receiving the signal from your door lock mechanism so it would always start at the first try. The sound comes from the bottom right near the fuel tank. All VW's do this.

How to replace temperature sensor in vW golf citi 1.4i 2006

I am driving VW Citi golf sport 1.4i,every morning whn is cold my car couldn't start, after many attempts it would and when I try to accelerate it will choke. After buying the temperature sensor my problem was solved. the mechanics advised me to buy petrol filter and petrol gauge regulator and a petrol pump, thanks I didn't buy them. Only a temperature sensor made my car a comfortable drive.

Hi there, I have a VW Golf GTI 2000 model.. and...

You'll probaly need a new speedo head. Just remember to record your original mileage to the new speedo you'll need to hook up a VAG 1552 scan tool and set it up. NOTE: It has to be below 100mi or else it will permanently lock up and unable to record your original mileage.

I have a 2003 vw golf. the speedo is not working at all. found speedo sensor broken and have replaced. also drive looks to be intact and doesn't turn. also tied with this is the fuel gauge fluctuates any...

if you replaced the speedo sensor and gear, the problem is the gear that drives the speedo gear. it is on the differential and is only replaceable by removing and disassembling transmission. this is somewhat common on vw's. the only other possibility is the wiring but i'd say its about a 95% chance you have a bad drive gear on the differential.
