I have a sony IC Recorder and I can't download to CD or Computer. This IC has two ports, one for mic and one for ear phones. It has not got a port for a usb chord. How can I down load what I have recorded???? I am finding this very frustrating. Keith.

There is a audio in jack on most computers. Get an aux cable and Software to record the sound off of recorder. You will need to let it play all the sound to recorde it. So if you recorded 1hr of sound it will take 1hr to recorde it to computer.
As there is no USB port on this IC Recorder, you can connect the Headphone OUT of the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound Recorder Software to capture the files. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software preinstalled in the Computer.
After transferring the recordings to the Computer, you can use any CD Burning Software to burn the files to a CD.
Did you recieve a manual with this radio? It usually states where the charger plugs into...
As my experience with other handies like this recalls, it should take the charger in either the mic or ear jack... (provided there are not any other jacks meant for the charger)
Best way is to obtain a manual from the supplier if you want to make 100% shure!
If it is a VN-1000 it is not designed to be interfaced with a computer as there is no USB port on the unit at all. If you wish to transfer the files you can purchase what is called a compaticord or patch cable that will connect through the ear jack of the recorder to the mic jack of the computer to be able to transfer the information on to your computer.
you will need a compaticord from the earphone of recorder to microphone of the computer. use the sound recorder software to record while you hit play on the recorder
I have found conflicting information on this recorder. According to product specs on Amazon.comUK This recorder has no computer connection.
If this product description is wrong you should see a USB connection somewhere on the recorder. Just connect the USB cable from recorder to your computer. If you did not receive a USB cable with your recorder you will have to buy one. You will have to determine if you need a mini or regular USB cable. Then double click on my computer. You should see the device listed there. Double click on the Sony device icon. The files on your recorder should now be showing. You should then be able to drag the files to a folder of your choosing on your computer.
This IC Recorder doesn't feature the USB port. However, you can transfer the files by connecting the Headphone OUT of
the IC Recorder to the LINE IN of the Computer. Then, use any Sound
Recording Software. You can also use the Sound Recorder Software that is
pre installed in the Windows Operating System.
