Toshiba 64H80 alignment problem

this is normal with rear projection tv's its from long usage when the tv isnt always in full screen mode. you can sometimes fix this by replacing the bulb/ or the color board for the projector. also you can replace the screen as it seems like it may also be do to image burn in if it wasnt always in full screen mode. (did this for my uncles Mitsubishi projection tv)

tv is on it's 'hospice' end of life routine..unless you want to gut it completely, and replace all the electronics..

you may need to go to service mode and shif the horz center

This is a common problem. Its called a convergence failure.

Problem #1) Convergence

Symptoms:

• Screen Looks 3D
• Colors wont align
• Video may look distorted

First open & clean all 3 lens and front screen from inside its solved

Hello, its very possible there are other color alignments thats out of ajustements and certain color lines will affect each range of alignment and
you will need a tech to come out and check the control unit on your set.

Thanks for this forum.

I have a Toshiba 48" rear projection TV which started to show red and green lines on the left side of the screen and have also started affecting the left-hand focus of the image shown on the screen. I have had this TV for 14 years and had a projection adjustment done once before.

Reset the covergence to factory specs from the remote. Do it three times

Sounds like a problem with convergence, poss just requires new STK 392-110 ICs , may need a couple of resistors that go due to faulty ICs
