Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3x Cellular Phone
My Motorola V3x celphone keeps on restating (screen disappears then goes black and blank, then turns into white then back to a normal form, then it keeps on repeating) and i have also observed that it usually happens when my celphone is in full "3G" signal.
I had the same problem and i fixed it by installng a small piece of tape on battery pulling tension on the connector; after I added this I've had very few problems with restarting.

Ok i just talked to my cell phone company they said to master clear your phone. Go to settings, initial setup, master clear default code 000000. hit ok ( will erase all contacts and apps.) but it is working for me ... so far anyway

I rang Motorola and complained bitterly about the quality. They said they would not replace until it had been in for repair three times. The phone has now been repaired three times under warranty and has been working for 3 months now. They replaced all parts each time. This phone appears not fit for purpose and if it fails again I will consider taking a complaint to our Commerce Commission. I live in New Zealand.

Buy a different phone. I have gone through 4 of these and I am sick of it. Master reset, code 0000 and all the other fun stuff are just short term stop-gap solutions that do nothing to address the issue. All phones did the same thing, even made during different runs.
I am out of contract with my provider and I refuse to get stuck into a new contract with any provider. I am shopping around, but the Razr is not an option for a phone in my opinion.
Thank goodness I have the sync software to keep numbers handy and to load them back again. It costs business when the phone randomly resets especially when answering.

I had the same sort of problem. Turn it on, gets as far as Vodafone Welcome, then the 3G startup logo, then restarts, black screen, then white and keeps cycling black white, on / off.
I held down the * and # keys while turning on, with the USB cable plugged in. I then downloaded "Motorola Software Update" From https://rsddownload.motorola.com/download/Motorola_Software_Update.exe the Motorola.com website. and it detected the phone, did the software update / download and flash, and now it works again!

I know a number of people who have/had motorola razr series phones. Everyone of them has had trouble with this phone including myself. They are good for about 1 month then it all turns to custard. I've spent many hours searching for a solution to my problem, even had the phone in and out of the repair place(phone turns itself off an on loses data etc does what it wants), and the only advice I can find of any use is to buy a new phone!!!
DO NOT BUY MOTOROLA!!!!!!!!
NOTE: I have a 3315 series phone, about 6 years old, been dropped, kicked, thrown against walls, physically abused in many ways over the years, and I know when my other phone craps out I can pick it up, throw in my sim card, charge it and it is almost as good as the day I bought it!!! trusty old nokia to the party
