he red light on the front stays on but the camera won't work. i haven't dropped it or anything. It is a kodak easyshare CD43. It was working fine a couple days ago. I put new lithium batteries in and it has the same problem as before.
might have roasted your speakers voice coils a little which may be sending the amp into protect mode throw a speaker on it that you know works and if it doesnt trigger the protect circuit then you probably have a blown or almost sub.
I had the same problem with my Argus Bean - not sure of the model #, but image is that same as shown. I found another, similar site that recommended holding the camera and striking it against the back of your other hand (face first). It worked on the first try. Something about the LCD coming loose.
did that to mine. Bat went dead and went to jump the car. What happends is when you attach the jumper cables, it surges the power to the amp. This gets worse with caps. I would say you blew the relay in the amp and needs to be replaced. It is worth fixin but youll have to send it off or take it to a repair shop to have the new relay put in
With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage drops below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
