Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional for PC
Need step by step instructions
First find the windows product key, and write it down. the firts thing
you should do is to enter the BIOS setup. When you switch on your
system you may be asked to press a certian key. for e.g. "Press DEL to
enter setup". press the relevant key. Change the boot sequence to set
the CD ROM first.
then you put your windows CD in the drive and reboot the system.
When it displays "press any key to boot from CD." press any key.
After a while, the system displays options for Installation. Press Enter key.
Then folow the instaruction on screen.
When it displays a message like this...
"C:\windows xp professional"
Press enter and then just follow the onscreen instructions like a normal installation. This way you would be able to recover your windows XP system and bootloader if damged.
Do not select the option to format, partition or delete your Documents and settings. this may damage your system and personal files.
