Question about Jeep AM/FM Cassette with CD Changer Controls - Upgrade Swap
I am trying to install a jensen dvd player in my 06 wrangler x i know how to do everything except getting the factory stereo out how do i go about getting my my factory stereo out to put in my after market
That is correct pop up the defroster cover (has snap in clips) .underneath you will see 2 philips screws to remove, then pull the radio trim towards the rear of the vehicle it uses the same style clips as the defroster trim piece.

I have the same problem, just bought a 2000 wrangler and have no idea how the heck to get it out. i looked at some fourms and so far this is what i got. you use a flathead screw driver to pop up the dash where the front defroster is by the winsheild, its just held in by clips. then theres two screws you have to take out. then that middle part of the dash where to headunit is should just come off. im at school right now but im gona give it try as soon as i get home. but if you dont mind spending some money i also gave Best Buy a call, and they will take out the old one and put the new one in for around $100, but thats a pretty big bill if you ask me. either way good luck
