Well, I also had the same trouble but could not find the Klomtrix solution. But everybody and their mother claim this is a lense problem. So I turned on the lumix camera and held on to the lense so it would not go back in. Then I carefully turned the whole lense counterclockwise until I heard three clicks. IO turned off the camera and then turned it back on and it works perfectly now. Somehow, the lense lost its aliignment due to over use especially using it on the beach in Florida for 5 years. Anyway, that's how I fixed it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at pappy2301@gmail.com as I would be more than happy so assist you. The bottom line is this is one of the best cameras ever made for amateurs and I was very sad for three years it did not work.

System eror

Hi,

This error usually comes due to faulty sliding mechanism.Put a bit of force on the focusing lens to push it back into camera casing. That's the reason the sliding mechanism won't work. The lens is stuck and if you force it back in, the sliding mechanism will work again. Not responsible if your camera screws up, so try at your own risk.Or else try out this method.Pull the lens fully out and then it will work.It will be bit tricky to get the lens out. Use your nail to "grab" between the outer glass and the little plastic cover.

Thank you !!

Panasonic DMC-FX35 error message

Sounds as if it has either received a knock, or foreign matter (grit etc) has got into the lens mechanism.

*&%$@#%^&*&^% !!"It's working!!!! Turn your camera on and put it near your ear. Did you hear a softly motorized sound in the lenses area and the green LED is flashing? If you hear this sound do this. Do it under your own responsability. (any way your camera does not work). When you turn on the camera wait until the lenses come out, in that moment grab the lens with your hand and don't let it go back. The camera will turn off but the lens will stay out. With the camera off push in the lens with your hand. Turn on the camera and that's it. I had to do it 2 times, but now my camera it's working again. This system error could be caused because the lens get out of it rail and the camera can not set the focus system.
