The display language is preset to English. To change the language, from the standby screen, press Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Language. Choose from English, Espa?ol (Spanish), or Chinese for both the screen text and input language. Note: If you accidentally change your language to Espa?ol and need to reset it to English, from the standby screen, press Menu 9 5 2, select English, and press the OK key.
To change the system's language: In the Home screen, select the "Settings" menu item, and choose "Language (and Region)". Select a different language using the left/right arrows (your settings are saved instantly). Visit this link for more information. Go to page 56

You can go one of three ways. From the music/headphones icon, press down 3x (to get to settings);
right 1x (to enter settings); down to the fourth option/line (observe
the scroll bar to make sure you count from the very top) right 1x (to
enter the languages menu). You will find your own language in plain
text. It should work unless your setup is different or I miscounted somewhere. If that doesn't work, try updating the firmware. By doing that, it will ask you which language you would like to use on your Clip. If either of those do not work, plug your Clip into the computer. Then go to my computer under the start menu, find your mp3 player under the list (should be under 'devices with removable storage', or something to that effect). Right click on the mp3 player icon, and click "format". Go with the format it suggests, then reinstall the firmware from there. It will be like starting from square one.
