I just received a modem from att (2 wire) for broadband connection. I want to go wireless with a d link. Will I have problems??? Or does anyone have suggestions before I buy it.
Check the instructions for the ATT modem for anythign relating to Wireless Router Requirements/Compatability. That should provide your answer. ALSO, visit the DLink site:
and look up the Wireless Router you are considering. Under their support page, you can look over the manual for it and learn about it's requirements. Their site is quite informative and has a good support section.

I have a SB5100 hook up with wireless-N router. Just this morning, I couldn't get any connection on the internet. The internet light on the modem was off, the recieve and send lights were blinking though. Please advise me on how I can get my internet connectivity back again.

We've recently acquired the SB5100 with optus, but we've gotten a new laptop n it wont install properly n fail the connection test at the end. My bf had this problem too with the same modem he had to call up n they charged him for 5 seconds of work n their modem worked again. If its so quick n simple why cant i figure it out? were using the USB connection coz we dont have ethernet cable. AWe have disconnected the old comp n no longer using it. Why wont it owrk.

I am about to change from dial up to broadband using Motorola's SB5100 series cable modem which was given to me. Should I remove the dial up bits from my computer before installing the SB5100, or just leave it all as it is? Need your help... Thanks! Mike Urlich
