If it is brand new, it is likely "pilot error" as setting these up if you are unfamiliar with mixers can be frustrating.

There are several things that must be done to have a working system. Correct speaker cables are one and the setting of all the knobs are important...

DO NOT REPLACE FUSE. If any LED's are on, fuse is OK. If fuse blows, service the unit before replacing fuse to avoid further internal damage.

Make sure speaker cables are good.

Set the level control for the channel you are testing up AND you may need to press the "PAD" button to change the input gain. Turn up the master gain.

Depending on the source you are using, line or mic you may need to change the PAD button.

NOTE: This mixer does NOT have Phantom power and cannot be used with CONDENSER microphones requiring phantom power. You will get no audio from a condenser mic without phantom power. You must use dynamic mics with this mixer.

I have my pc hooked via 1/8" to 1/4' to my europower pmp518m and my sound is very low, but my mics are very loud (need music loud also)

The 1/8 jackon the PC is Stereo so you would need a stereo splitter to then go into separate jacks or maybe tape input on the PMP. Plugging in a mono jack shorts out one side of the PC audio out. Make sure you use a splitter type and NOT a 1/8 to 1/4 stereo cable. It must split into TWO cablles to plug into the PMP.

What kind of CD unit are you using? Is it a portable, rack-mount, stand-alone, or via computer output? This information is necessary. I will be glad to help otherwise.

PMP Mixers hazard

When using Speakon adapter cables with 1/4 inch plugs, the sleeve of channel A is the hot and not the tip of the plug. Inadvertent shorting of this to ground can blow that channel of the amp.

One side of my europower pmp 5000 is out, the other is fine.....what up?

What is up is one of the two power amps is blown... I know this problem... It is USUALLY the rearmost channel which goes to the left Speakon faacing the back. Weak insulation between layers of the multilayer circuit board arcs and fries three transistors and a diode and sometimes a few more components. It takes a lot of skill to restore the module and is beyond most repair shops. A whole new module costs about $155 from Full Compass. The amp is an HCA2400 module, but you MAY need the Behringer part number to order it from Full Compass. Also please read my tip on Fixya for PMP mixers regarding the hazard when using 1/4 inch plugs from the Speakon connectors... the Channel A sleeve is the "hot", not the tip and if you ground the sleeve, goodbye channel A...

Behringer europower pmp1000, mixer unit, has all leds lit ,is responding to mic. input, bur is not producing any ourput to speakers, can you advise please.

ALL LED's should NOT be lit all the time. If thsy are, there is a failure in the power supply.

plug headphones into the 1/4 inch main output jacks on the top... you will only hear sound in the left side headphone for each. This would verify the preamp is working.

I want to know how to send the signal from a Europower pmp 3000 to two external amps

Plug a balanced TRS (tip ring sleeve) cable into either main or monitor 1/4 inch jacks and then into the amp. ALWAYS use balanced lines AND power the mixer AND the amps from the SAME receptacle to avoid damage from ground loop bounce,

We have a Europower pmp5000. It has been pretty good for us, but during our last gig, during a song, the sound totally cut out. We finally got the sound back by sliding the main volumn control up &...

Very strange behavior. Knowing the electronics within the unit, I see no reason that moving the main volume could restore operation. i tend to think that is a coincidence. Possibility the vibration of moving the control caused it to operate again. Do read the tip about PMP mixers I posted on Fixya about the hazard of channel A output if you use Speakon to 1/4 inch cables or adapters. If this happens again, try headphones and see if the signal still comes through them. There is an electronic fuse that can kill output IF the output current gets too high, but for that one you have toturn power off for some time for it to reset. Since you did not turn power off per your posting, that possibility is ruled out. Normally the sliders will NOT fail midstream and would be restored with any slight movement.

No amp output.amplifier damage

You will have to have it repaired. Also read my tip regarduing the PMP mixer/amps that if you use 1/4 inch cable plugs to speakers, the SLEEVE of channel A is hot, not the tip. It the sleeve shportss to somehing that is ground, goodbye Channel A or more. This is not in the book.
