Question about Seagate FreeAgent Pro - 500GB, 7200 RPM, USB 2.0, eSATA, External 500 GB Hard Drive

New laptop/new hardrive

I recentlytreated myself to a new laptop and then an external hardrive.  I chose the seagate desktop 500MB.  But when plugging it in my laptop is asking for the drivers disc.  It is my assumption that it should just plug and play?  Can anybody assist?

Either you have 50 gigs of stuff on there or your hard drive space is not being properly read. U might need to reformat the drive if necessary.
Meanwhile your xbox electronics may have a limit on the size of space - so if the drive has 200 gigs of space on it and your unit will only recognize 32 gigs, then that is all it sees and can use. Capiche?

Seagate stbv3000300 srd00f2 wont work on tv

you shud check the specs of ur tv. Most of dem don't support mass storage devices. To run hardisk u need to buy a media players which supports storage device upto 1 tb.
If u want to run it so badly reformat the hardrive to FAT format from NTFC.

External hard drives are plug and play, the drivers are build into windows.
