I loaded the dishwasher last night, put it on normal wash with a 1 hr delay and went to bed. This morning the control panel said clean, but the pot scrubber light was blinking. When I opened the door, the dishes were still dirty and the soap dispenser never opened. I closed the door and hit the normal wash button and then all the buttons, but none of the lights were on and none of the buttons have worked all day. We checked the breaker box and flipped the switch, nothing changed and none of the lights have gone on all day and it completly doesn't work. Any suggestions? By the way, the dishwasher is almost 10 yrs old and we have never had a problem!

- Had a repair man come and tell me that I need a new elctronic control which will cost about $350+ tax installed. On a 10 yr old dishwsher, don't think it's worth it. Now looking to buying new d/w. Any suggestions?
with the door open when your dishwasher was working normally Did the lights light up on the keypad? I am wondering because if the answer is the keypad only worked with the door closed .....you possibly have a bad door switch.
or it could be a blown fuse inside the dishwasher. are any lights on at all?

- check your door switch. take the door apart by removeing all the screws make sure you unplug it. look at the microswitches there are little buttons on them when the door is open if you where to read continuity across them they should have no continuity when you close the door or actuate the button you should have continuity. usually just by a visual inspection you can tell if they/it is good or not. if the button goes in and out and you hear a click sound usually means it's ok. but if the button is sunk in and you cannot press it it is bad. check it out and let me know. if this does not work you should have a fuse that sits on your computer board. it has normally either 2 black wires going to it or 2 brown wires going to it. check if there is continuity there if your door switch if fine. please let me know how it goes

- i would say buy one with less options don't but a Maytag they are **** the touch panels go out in those ALL the time. I would buy one with a machanical dial no touch controls. These usually last longer than the ones with touch panels and electronic controls. GOOD LUCK

We have a Genn Air JDB-5 Dish washer, last night when we turned it on and closed the door, all of a sudden a funny sneezing like sound came and the washer stopped. The water didn't drain and the cycle never completed. We tried again by setting the cycle to normal and pushing the start button, on closing the door, the usual water hissing sound came for about ten seconds, but after that nothing. The water didnt drain and the cycle never started. If some one can help with this, it would be great.

My Jenn Air model jdb9910awb contol panel doesn't light up or work. It is about 5 years old and when I disassembled the front it looked like the connector (furthest inboard) from the buttons had disconnected. It is sodered in 6 places but they are all broken. Can I just replace the motherboard or is there another fix?
