Your tv could have one of several faults. None of which are to be tackled by anyone except a qualified engineer due to the electric shock hazard.the first problem could be the crt (tube) the second could be the componets on crt base circuit board ie resistors or ic. With a tv 9 years old it may not be economical to carry out a reair.
you might find the colour & saturation levels controls. using your remote to set that up, check the tv manual... if you don't have one, you can likely find one on-line by doing a few searches.
Goog Luck... Ian
I made sure all the cable were in properly and tight on the HD cable box and TV.
Then I reset the cable box according to the instructions and reset the TV to the factory settings
and he seems to have correct the problem.
The solution is now to let your kids play with the remotes.
You need to use Aiwa Service Remote to enter in service mode and adjust service data for red and Blue drive of CRT. Do you have that remote and service data reference book of Aiwa tv ?
you will need the remote to adjust conversion and what not. www.replacementremotes.com can get your origional remote just enter the model number of the tv and it will pull up the origional as well as a substitute that will work all the functions.
