T took our set to a repair and they stated that set needs a new power supply. Power supply cost $200.00. Does anyone know where I can purchase power supply?

Do not try to get a straight answer from the technical support group at Hyundai repair. I had the TV repaired by them less than a year (2006) after my purchase for the same issue-faulty power supply board, and now it failed again in dec. 2007. repeated calls to them are useless. i tried to get a local repair shop to fix it and they are having difficulty getting the part. I will never buy another TV made in China...unfortunately that may not be realistic because everything is made in china.

Have not been able to find a power board. Samsung is the manufacturer of the board and Samsung no longer makes. They sent me to Samsung parts and they do not have either. All suppliers on the net that I have spoke with do not stock as manufacturer quit making parts. Guess the best we can do is get some rope and use it as a boat anchor............................... or if someone has found a solution let me know.

I have the exact same problem with my HQL260WR purchased in august 05, so 3 years old (also from manufacture). When powered up green light comes of a couple of seconds then cuts out - phut!
Any solution other than the trash would be nice...

SAME PROBLEM HERE. WHEN YOU TURN IT ON THE GREEN LIGHT BLINKS ABOUT 4 OR 5 TIMES... THEN THE TV FLASHES FOR LESS THAN SECOND AND SHUTS OFF... NOT EVEN A RED LIGHT AFTER THAT.

I tried the blow dryer trick but it didn't work. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right... where exactly do I put the blow dryer? and how long do I hold it there?

The power supply for mine was made by Image Quest, out of California. Contacted the support section and tried to speak with someone that did not want to help. All he said was send an email with part # and serial # and they will respond. Never happened, also had an extended warranty that was not cheap and no help there either.
So, it has come down to not purchase anything from Tiger Direct and stay away from Korean made electronics.
    Just what I have experienced.

I am having the same problem with mine, it just stopped working about few weeks ago. When you unplug and plug back, it acts like it is going to turn of for a few seconds and then turns off. Purchased from TigerDirect in DEC 05.

Could you describe in more detail what it was you did and what made you try it? I can see why a heat source may be a cold solder of sorts if there is a short on the power board its self, and that makes send,, but what is "play plug"? or just give a few more details,, maybe this is a good start to find somewhat of a solution for this dang tv,, thanks man!

Blinking Red Light

unplug your printer
try to move the ink case manually.
if you could remove the ink cartridge, then clean the contacts both on the cartridge and case. return the cartridges then move the case to its original location
plug

I have the same issue. Here's a temporary solution, which is what I've been doing for the last couple of weeks, unplug the unit from the wall, just long enough for the red standby light to go out, then plug the unit back up. as soon that the red standby light comes on, press the on button the the remote or the unit. You may have to do this couple of time before it works. Somedays it works on the first try for me and then somedays I have to do it 3 to 4 time. I sure that at some point this will stop working too.

No picture on TV with powerlight on

If you press the power button *on* your TV (rather than using the RC), does the power light still stay on red rather than turn green?

Flashing green and red light

Sounds like a power suppply problem. Not something that the novice can repair besides trying the usual unplugging and plugging back in.
