How do I reconnect my dish network receiver cables from satellite dish back up correctly all are outside cables?

Typically there will be a single line of Coax (TV Cable) running from your dish to your receiver. There will be a connection on the back of your receiver with a little picture of a dish. It might also be labeled LNBF or LNB. Make sure the power to your receiver is unplugged before connecting it. If you have more than one cable coming from the dish, or I've misunderstood, you may need to provide more information such as what cables, and what model of reciever.

Bt humax box sound but no picture. Any ideas on problem?

Looks like a heat problem to me. Do you think you could try to blow out the dust, using a bellow like used on a photo camera. Or just canned air (spray can)

There must be enough holes on the outside, to blow in, and dust has to come oput. So the best would be you disconnect teh box for a little while and doe the dusting outside.

I\'m a trchnician and if one of my boxes has dust I open it. But be aware you loose your waranty and unscrewing the wrong screws, dound damege the box. So if you are not a tech, please try to get out the dust by blowing. NOT yourself, bacause you bring in other things like spit. and we don\'t want that.

How do i connect areil lead to outside ariel

you don't say what kind of wire you are using. If using coax, just screw the coax connector onto the back of the set, the other end should fasten to the connector on your outside antenna, If you are using 300 ohm wire, then you need to purchase an adapter that goes from 300 ohm to coax connector (these are called balun connectors) you can get one at radio shack..

My freeview digital recorder which is a twin tuner will now only record programme being wached and am unable to change channels while recording. would reformatting the hard drive solve problem?

It sounds like you simply don't have the cables hooked up corectly to allow that.Would you please tell me how it is hooked up?For instance, what the outside cable is hooked up to input etc. I need to know everything you have available, and what OUTPUT and what INPUT is connected to where, starting with the outside cable, and if there is a cable box or not.Literally everything connected for use with the TV.Greg

Unhooked all lines in back of tv cant remember to rehook up have2

There are common connections to each receiver but there are unique connections also depending on the receiver. Solo receivers have a coax cable coming from the Dish outside connected to Satellite In. Duo receivers and DVR HD receivers have the coax cable that comes from the dish outside that connects to Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 using a splitter. There is also a cable (coax, RCA (yellow, white, red) or component (green, blue, red - video, white, red - audio) or an HDMI if HD) connected from the receiver to the TV 1. For a duo receiver TV 2 may be backfed on the cable coming from the dish outside using diplexers. This may sound confusing but you can call 1-800-333-3474 for assistance.

I disconnected the 322 to install a new TV1. TV2

You should have one line entering the home behind the TV1 attached to it there should be a device exactly as you saw outside. You will want the line from outside connected to the single port called in/out and the SAT port goes to the silver seperator. The two lines leaving the seperator attach to the SAT in on the receiver. The UHF poret on the device connects to the home distibution port on the receiver.

Thanks for using Fix YA.

TV aerial needs to be re-assembled at the TV end of the cable. Not sure where the single type wire and the ''matted'' outside wire go. A couple of attempts haven't worked.

unscrew the plug, you will have 3 pieces, put screw cap onto the cable, then wrap the matted wire around the outside sheath (this must not touch the inner core) hold this down with the connector, prongs pointing downwards, then place the inner wire into the plug and screw together.

None of the buttons on the front do anything... locked up

Couple of possibilities here, could be a stuck button, could be a fan dragging and pulling the voltage down, check the PSU, low voltage can do this. Could be a disc problem, replace HDD and download latest software version from DM site reload and try again. Could also be "frozen", and if your PSU and HDD is healthy a reboot should solve this. No definitive answer.

Conversion boxes-Do I need one with an outside atenna?

you will need a converter box if you do not have a digital ready television. If you have a digital television, then no you do not need one. make sure of the type antenna you have, as there are uhf only and vhf only and combined uhf/vhf. if you only have a uhf only antenna you may be missing out on channels.

"fail" flashes on the screen for one camera

Sounds like a low signal voltage from the camera, should be 1v peak to peak, read with peak meter.
