that fan is called a inducer motor. remove the metal cover which the motor is attached to and adjust the small blower wheel. if that does not due it, replace the motor
If the color wheel is making noise then its best to replace it and not try to repair it, Unfortunatley the wheel is not available by itself and a complete optic block part # 9NK3797086200...Be careful when taking the bock apart as it runs $900.00
Sound like the Color wheel motor is bad (noisey bearings ) It will usually get worse - louder and then stop all together Part # 5030204280 - google it.
You won't be able to replace just the motor. And, its true that Toshiba has not seen fit to offer this part independently from the light engine assy. Try checking with PTS in Indiana. They may be able to fix your old wheel or sell you a rebuilt one.
your problem is the color wheel. the load noise is comming from the color wheel motor. there is an article here on how to take the color wheel out. what you need to do it follow those steps and take the motor apart and clean it without breaking it and put thin high temp grease on the axle of motor and put it all back together. that will fix the loud noise and the fading of the screen. i know because i am an electrician and i fixed my shap tv. any questions just ask
You have a noisey color wheel. It is a little tricky to replace but not too bad. Also, there are several different versions of these for different models so be sure you use complete model number from sticker on side of set. Must remove light engine and will need extra long philips screwdriver (magnetic). That is to get color wheel cover off/on. When switching ribbon cable, notice it only has contacts on one side so make sure to put new one in same way. Good luck, Russmann.
that set has 2 tuners ..try using a splitter and putting signal on both. I'm working on this model now..it has a noisey color wheel motor. PIP will work from either tuner.
