    I am using the SanDisk micro Sd Cards and they are not working with the cell phone, but my pc recognizes them fine. Its when i put the card into my phone that i get the prompt to format the card, when i click yes. It then states that i should reinsert the card, "Access Failed".

    i have the same problem. I also tried formatting the 4gb sdhc on the computer before I tried formatting it on the phone but the message "format failed, please reinsert card" still came out. is the problem because the sgh - t629 can only read regular micro sd cards?

    i put the SD micro memory card that has music on it and it shows that the phone didn't recognize it and ask me if i want to format it and i pressed ok and my phone just froze for minute then i had to take my phone battery to fix the problem.

Ok, I have managed to use my sandisk 512mb card to put on music...even though I didnt know you had to format the disk in phone first (I dont recommend because all my music is individual clips and not in my music file), however once you see that the music is on the card via "my files" I went to the music player and hit options...then hit "add music from" then hit "memory card" you must put a check mark by all the music files you want to add to the music player (or choose "all" and hit ok) This will put your chosen songs off your card into the music player and you can see the song title at the top of your player screen and use the arrows to move through your songs/clips. Choose the song and hit play.

    a side note about memory card music, if you are using windows media player you need to convert the clips to mp3 format because the phone doesnt recognize wmp format. Also, your phone will say access failed if your card is empty or appears empty to the phone. (I know that the first time I tryd to put things on my card it didnt work right and even though I thought the card had clips on it, it really didnt, so my phone gave me the same "...failed" prompt.) One last input, Ive heard that even if your clips are in mp3 format if the kpbs is over 128 your phone wont recognize the data. Hope this helps.

The reason why it say its unrecognized is because it has to be a MP3 file.

Insert your memory card into the phone, go to memory card, it will ask to format, hit O.K. Wait about 2-3 minutes, after it formatted, ti will display some folders, sound, movie, music...other files. Then take the card out and put your mucis on there.

I did to this step but do not know how copy to the phone to play music. Please advice if any one know how to. Thanks very much.

Memory card. !! please help );

Don't know much about the Samsung phone; Can you put music on the 1 Gb memory card from another source (like a computer) and have it recognized by the phone?
Does the phone require music in a particular format? For example, if the phone recognizes .mp3 music files, but all your music is in Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) files, you will not be able to play them on the phone.

1) Find the Samsung phone manual (online?) and see if it requires music files to be in one format, or another.

2) Try loading music, in the proper format, from different sources onto your memory card.

Best of luck!
