When ever that light comes on and blinks there is a fault. Take it in to get serviced.

This is most likely your "Valet" alarm disable switch. Use to disable your car alarm so you can keep your Alarm Fob and let a Valet, mechanic, friend etc. operate the car without the alarm being functional. If it is an after market alarm, consult the mfg's manual, if OEM contact dealer for operating instructions.

If all functions of the camera are operating correctly, then the camera is fine. The blinking indicates that the camera is storing information to memory.

make sure that all the cables are connected FULLY.
blinking light means that there is no signal.

I hit start and then it started operating in test mode and ran through some tests. I now seems to work fine.
