The resolution of your TV is over 720 pixels per inch (PPI)

The Nintendo Wii console can only handle 480 PPI

You may need to buy the adapter to hook the console to the HD components (R/G/B) instead of the standard composite (Y/R/W)

Here is one for cheap on Amazon:

SOURCE: i have hooked my wii up to a new samsung 42"

Make sure that you have switched the Wii to component video in the system setting menus. Once you have done that, you should have a color picture in 480p! Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Hooked up my Wii to a new TV, Now color is bad

I suspect you have it hooked up wrong check, Color to color, this is what can make it green, if not that then ensure your format is ok either PAL or NTSC, check.

I HAVE A NEW 20" eMERSON TV. I JUST BOUGHT A wii SYSSTEM AND HAVE THE 3 COLOR CODED CABLES INSERTED. tHE CABLES ARE RED WHITE AND YELLOW, THE TV ONLY HAS RED WHITE AND ORANGE! I CANNOT FIND A CHANNEL...

You should order an hdmi cable for the WII so that it will connect. Right now you have audio (red and white) and video (yellow) the new television sets dont use that anymore.

I previously had my wii on an older tv and it worked fine. I recently purchased a new tv (Sharp Quatron Aquos) and when I hooked up my wii and same cables to the tv, my screen is now a hazy black and white...

You are using composite cables(red, white, yellow) mine did the same thing. The aquos is all digital, wont read analog, which is what composite cables are.
They now make a component cable for the wii. I paid $28 at b.b.

I have had my wii for a while and it is black and we hooked it up to our flat screen Vizio and it is only in black and white but then when i hook it up to my older tv it is in color and i cant figure out...

Did you use the Component cables for the new tv? If you did, you need to go into the System Menu of the Wii, and change the output to Component 480p, and that should give you a color picture with a higher resolution. Hope this helps!

I just got a brand new Wii for Christmas and when I hook it up to my tv it just comes in black and white or very fuzzy colors any suggestions on what to do?

You might want to check the cables connected in to the back of the tv mainly the yellow a.v cable. If you absolutely have it hooked up right its either your a/v cables are something wrong with the wii console itself and since its brand new I would take it back. I would make sure its hooked up properly first maybe even try it on a diffrent tv.

We would like to hook our new Wii to our AQUOS shart television

As long as your TV has "AV" inputs you can. There will be three plugs Yellow, white and red. Just match the colors on the cable from the Wii to the colors on the plugs. I wish the Wii had HDMI but it doesn't.

Hook it up to the tv

If your hooking it directly to the tv depending on how old the tv is use one of the inputs. Hook the two red and white to red and white and the yellow to the video in input. If it's an older tv you will need whats called an rhf adapter. Hook your color codes together and use a cable cord to go from the antenna out to the tv's uhf input. I hope this information was helpful........... : )
