Wheel bent inward

Recently hot a pothole, 2004 ford focus svt. Kyb strut. This has happened before but in Colorado it's nearly impossible to do. When looking at front right tire it is going inward. My tire wasn't damaged on the slow drive home. I didn't break anything but I won't drive it anymore till I know what needs to be done. Low on funds so will a front wheel alignment fix this issue or did I just jam the strut?

I suspect you damaged the lower track control arm ,cheap repair as they are about 40 euros complete ,this is why i like my fords CHEAP SPARES ,i doubt if you have damaged the strut very much but the track control arm ?? This is all you should need to change you should not even need to re-track it either

SOURCE: I am always replacing front tires due to alignment

It sure sounds to me that the gentleman or lady in charge of aligning your vehicle wasn't doin the job properly. The entire vehicle's suspension needs to be checked for visible damage or worn out parts before the alignment.Had this been done then they would have seen why the back tire is leaning in like it is.I suggest that you take the vehicle elsewhere.....just for your safety alone. You do not want to be driving a vehicle whose suspension may fail at any time and put you in harms way....HOPE I COULD HELP!!!

SOURCE: back right wheel tilts inward. strut broke or

It could be a damaged strut but if it hit a curb it would more likely tilt out. Some of those had an eccentric bolt that allowed adjustment of the camber. Have a tire shop look at it and determine if a bolt has come loose and allowed it to slip.

SOURCE: I have a 1997 Ford

Yes loosening the top strut/bracket is needed to adjust the alignment, the rear should be fine unless there is damage to rear suspension compontents that need replaced, however for that vehicle just the front.

have someone drive it while you listen from outside the car. this could be achieved in a parking lot. it could be an inner fender touching your tire when you get up to speed due to air hitting it.

I have a 04 saab my pass wheel is leaning in. Why?

Have the alignment checked for a camber issue. Have you hit anything recently ( curb/pothole ) that may have caused this issue? Camber angles, if not in specification will cause tire wear and pulling. Most but not all vehicles have a provision for camber adjustment. Worst case scenerio is something is bent and may have to be replaced to correct your problem

Hit pothole and now tire makes clicking noise and tire slants inward

If you feel that you've hit the hole that hard, you should have the wheel and suspension checked by a professional. The strut or control arm may be bent and in need of replacement, but that's only if you've really hammered it.

get a front end alignment IMMEDIATELY. Something is not correct and could break off while driving. If a garage replaced the tie rod, make them align it as they should have done.

What sort of front suspension does a ford ka have? mine has dropped and the front wheel is rubbing on the inner wing.

You have a bad ball joint or strut most likely. The strut may of collapsed that is why the car is sitting low. I would lean more toward a strut problem than a ball joint.

2002 ford focus se. need to change the front struts (at least the passenger side).

I highly urge you to take the car to a repair facility. Replacing struts is very dangerous especially when removing the coil spring from the strut. Without the proper tools you or someone close can be seriously hurt. If you must replace them yourself than go with what is known as a ready strut. It is a complete assembly. New strut, spring, strur bearing, and strut boot preassembled. They are more money but worth it to avoid getting hurt.

2002 ford focus

It is time for a new set of strut cartridges, the rebound is from these worn out cartridges they serve the same function as a shock absorber, use OEM parts if you want a stock ride, aftermarket struts are generally stiffer and give a harsh ride.
