My weight is not accurate. I weigh 260+ and the scale reads 245 to 249 and is inconsistant. I just replaced batteries (CR2032)for the second time

Very few electronic scales are accurate as they are a function of a resistance measured against a voltage. They may be accurate when you buy them, but over time the electronic components decay and read differently as the components are cheap 10% type resistors and capacitors and cannot hold their specific values over time.
If you want accuracy, you will have to get a balance type scale that can be calibrated on site.

For the Health-o-meter physician's beam scale, how do you know when it is in balance? What should you do to get it in balance?

For any scale you need to have a known weight to calibrate the scale. Try using something like a 5lb bag of flour or 10lb bag of potatoes.

On the top of the scale set the scale to whatever known weight you have on the platform and see if it agrees, if it is just slightly off, then use the adjustment screw to fine tune the scale, it will be at the end of the left side of the arm.

My health o meter doctor's scales model 230 will not balance at zero

Hi. Cldchasr is talking about an electronic scale, not your beam scale. Coachphil was helpful but inaccurate for this model. I have a 230. Use Coach's method but there is no screw on the left to adjust. Instead, use the black zero balance at the upper left. Move the black slide on the silver bar until the scale balances.

If a man has 8 balls, and out of eight one ball is lighter than other seven.if he has a balance and had two chances.how will he find the lighter one??

Put 3 balls on each side of the scale. If the scales balance then weigh the remaining 2 balls and this will show the lighter one. If on the first weigh (3 balls each side) the scales do not balance- then take the three ball from the lighter side and put two on the scales (one each side) and keep hold of the remaining one. If the scales balance then you are holding the lighter ball. If not the scales will show which is the lighter ball. You can use the same logic for up to 9 balls.

How do you program users?

Storing and Recalling Weights
1. Your scale can store and recall up to 5 weights. If your scale has one button,
weights can be stored for one user. If your scale has two buttons (User and
Save/Recall buttons), weights can be stored for multiple users.
2. Tap center of scale platform with foot and wait until "00.0" appears.
3. Stand on the platform without shifting or moving until weight is displayed.
4. For single user scale: When weight reading appears on screen, step off the
scale, press Save/Recall button and hold for about 2 seconds to save the
reading.
For multiple user scale: When weight reading appears on screen, step off the
scale, and press User button to select a user number. Then press Save/Recall
button for 2 seconds to save the reading.
5. Weight reading blinks twice, then becomes stable. A small number (1-5)
appears in the upper right hand corner of your display, indicating which of the
5 weights is displayed. (Once you have 5 weights in memory the current weight
always saves as "1" and the oldest reading is eliminated.)
6. Weight reading is saved. Press Save/Recall button to review the last 5 weights or
let the scale shut down automatically. (Note: until you have 5 weights stored in
memory, the display will show the number and "–" for each weight for which
no data point has been stored yet; i.e. "3 –", "4 –", "5 –" if only 2 weights
have been saved.)

Hope this helps!!

Does anyone know how to do #6

Step 1) Load 3 weights on to each side of the scales. If scales balanced, then weigh the 2 weights that you left off in step 1.
If scales uneven, remove the 3 from the heavy side and then weigh 2 of the 3 from the lighter side, if balanced it's the 1 weight you didnt weigh.
Hope this helps,
