We have a Avaya soundstation2 2490. We had to buy a new interface module and now we can't dial out. We can recieve calls.

Administering a 1400 Series Digital Deskphone
Perform the following steps for each 1400 Series Digital Deskphone:
1. Log into the Avaya Aura Communication Manager administration interface.
2. Perform one of the following steps:
? If you are adding a new extension and want to assign a specific extension number, use
the add station nnnn command, where nnnn is the new extension you want to assign.
? If you are adding a new extension and want to assign the next available extension
number, use the add station next command.
? If you are installing the 1400 Series Digital Deskphone at an existing extension, use the
change station nnnn command, where nnnn is the existing extension you want to
modify.
The Station screen appears.
3. Perform one of the following steps:
? If you are administering a 1408 telephone, type 2410 in the Type field.
? If you are administering a 1416 telephone, type 2420 in the Type field.
4. In the Port field, type the port address.

6. Configure the remaining fields on the Station screen pages. Keep in mind the following
information:
? If you are administering a 1408 telephone, the first eight call appearance/feature buttons
displayed on the Station screen are administered on the 1408 telephone. (Since the 1408
telephone is aliased as a 2410 telephone, the Station screen displays 10 call
appearance/feature buttons.) The remaining buttons displayed on the Station screen are
not administered.
? If you are administering a 1416 telephone, the first 16 call appearance/feature buttons
displayed on the Station screen are administered on the 1416 telephone. (Since the 1416
telephone is aliased as a 2420 telephone, the Station screen displays 20 call
appearance/feature buttons.) The remaining buttons displayed on the Station screen are
not administered.
? If you are administering a 1416 telephone with a DBM32 Button module, the first 16 call
appearance/feature buttons displayed on the Station screen are administered on the
1416 telephone. The remaining eight call appearance/feature buttons displayed on the
Station screen are administered on the first eight buttons of the DBM32 Button module.
The 24 buttons of the EU24 expansion module displayed on the Station screen are
administered for the remaining 24 buttons of the DBM32 Button module.

Yes. Call forwarding is a feature provided by your telephone company, not a feature of any phone, and the procedure is dependent on the company. For some telephone companies, for example, you forward a call by dialing *72, waiting for a second dial tone, then dial the number to which you want calls forwarded. Please contact your telephone company for their exact procedure.

I have an Avaya 8403 Definity. I need to know how to forward my calls to another phone in our clinic.

http://support.avaya.com/css/P8/documents/100011072 Above is the support from Avaya's site. To transfer a call, press the Transfer button and dial the extension of the other phone in the office. The instructions for this can be found on page 23-24 of the manual linked above.

How do you change number of rings for the phone and auto attendant

You need to go into phone system admin programming
feature 00
left intercom
left intercom

Then the program for the ring delay on the Lines:

VMS Hunt Delay
Dial #506
Release 2.0 and earlier:
Dial 1=Immediate
2=Delayed

Release 3.0 and later:
Dial 1=Day
2=Night
Dial line number
Dial 0-6

The delay for extensions is:

VMS Cover Rings
Dial #321
Dial one digit (1-9) for the # of rings
before the call is sent to the voice messaging
3 is default

Recieve but cant call out after time reset

What? You cant dial out? Do you get dial tone? Can you dial in to the system?

Cant get Voice mails

Try to delete all the messages then try adding a voice mail dialing from another extension then you will recieve the messages.

Interface module will not power on

I did the same and it worked once...spoke to "Phil" at Bose today--5/11/08 and after explaining that this was the second time and second interface mod that is having the same prob...he suggested that it is the bass module. So he emailed me a UPS shipping label to cover the cost of shipping back to MA. I am shipping the bass mod and interface mod. He said they will repair at no cost and re issue another 1 year warranty. info only: I have only had this system since Oct of 2007 and I have had the problem twice. The first solution was for bose to send me an interface mod free of charge due to the fact that the system is still under warranty.

If yous is still under warranty, I suggest you call them...if not, either buy another interface or new brand....I think this is an ongoing problem with the cinemate and THEY have NO solution either.
