Problem for Camcorders

Hi,
our video camera screen just shows a bright green screen-almost like its over exposed in green.
We were around the pool and it was about 27degrees, Australia..
Have tried taking battery off for a while -hoping it would rest itself but it did not-it came on in bright green, went in to memory and reset cam-did not work.
Unfortuately instruction book in UK.
This was our hol of a lifetime in oz.
