Call t-mobile answer ask. Really. They passed law saying they can't force u to stay. Unless u signed contract then it depends on what u signed into. T mobile is usually very easy to get though. Have u tried inserting a metro sim already. Alot of t-mobile phones cone unlocked now because they have to do it later on anyway.

contact your service provider if you need to unlock the sim to use it with another carrier....it will take a few days to get the code back if they have tot contact the manufacterer....but you need the 16 diget code......after you get that, go to options, advanced options, sim card, type MEPPD. scroll to sim card, type MEP and pres the ALT key and then the 2 key.
if that doesnt work, instead of typing MEP2, try pressing and holding the ATL key and type MEPPE
if this works, a window will pop up asking for the unlock code....
